Every player faces that each off-season. Maybe not to the extent Tua faces it right now, but it's still a path he can take to see if he has more football in him. The good news is that it will be obvious quickly- either it's there or its not. This shouldn't be something that anyone should have to debate.

I wish him luck anyway and I don't envy anyone in his position. I rewatched some tape from him a few years back and WOW, it's so incredibly different than what we just saw. It does seem insurmountable but hey, I wish him the best in whatever he decides. There's no shame in retiring because your body can't do it anymore.

Uh, yeah, that's the point, certainly not to the extent Tua does and there's evidence that he doesn't put in that necessary work.

Huh? Quickly? No, if were even possible, it would take the work I mentioned and that's not debatable. I don't understand your contention.

What position? Really? It's not like he has to look for food and shelter while humping through the Sudan. He's a football player making a cuzillion dollars for playing a game.

Let’s see what comes out after he’s gone

imo he’s Suspect as all get out

I don’t thing it’s injuries, that will be his excuse though.

pure laziness , lack of work ethic necessary to be great and be worth the contract signed

    “Show me the money”

“it would be dope to start fresh elsewhere”

He’s shady man, and something went really wrong and imo, everyone will found out just how lazy he is.
Thats how you go from franchise qb, to third string, to cut

I meant that if he's on the roster next season, we should know quickly if he's back to form or washed up. Today, he's washed up...so the changes would have to be substantial.

I think there's a good chance that he's on the roster next season. Ross isn't just going to throw 50 million dollars in the trash. It's likely we draft a guy, keep Ewers and Tua, and have an open competition at quarterback. We may even see Tua start the first couple of games IDK. I'd rather we just move on, but I think that's easier said then done. All some of us are saying is that it may in fact be an injury he was dealing with. Maybe it was the hip? Certainly looks that way based on his fall off a cliff in terms of play. We're all done with him, but it may take another season to get rid of him. Some of you sith lord Tua Haters need to chill. Stop making it about picking sides. Just because someone suggests that it may be an injury doesn't mean they're supporting Tua as the starter in 2026. The reality of this is we're still stuck with him and his albatross contract if we don't find a taker.

I think Tua’s contract has escalators in it so that if he gets hurt he gets even more guaranteed money, so keeping him on the roster is a bigger risk than cutting him.

I highly doubt they keep him. He’s already had two coaches fired. Sullivan and Hafley have waited their entire lives for this opportunity. I highly doubt they are going to jeopardize their opportunity by keeping him on the roster and risk having him get them fired as well.

At this point, this has nothing to do with being a Tua hater or whatever, it’s just the reality. It’s over. Time to let go. I mean, everyone saw him play this year, right? He was really bad.

I just want this team to have a chance at being relevant and competitive again. That’s all.

I would also have to think that Sullivan and Haffley didn't take the job without knowing what Ross would or would not be willing to do with the players currently on the roster, and he's been willing to eat money before.

Nobody is clinging to the idea of a Tua resurrection, nor are we holding on to him. He's owed a whopping 50+ million dollars.... Guaranteed!!!!! I want to see you throw 50 million in the garbage!
All some of us are doing is pointing out the unfortunate possibility of him being here next season, be it as a bench player or whatever. You don't get to consistently show off your generational bigotry on here and then downplay your behavior by victimizing yourself. You deliberately go out of your way to insult anyone on here who looks at other circumstances (past your own). Reactive abuse is how you operate and it's the ultimate scumbag tactic. Congrats on acting like a pickle flavored douche. "All I want is for the team to be better." No...All you want to do is antagonize until someone stands up to you. Then you get to cry victim. It's cool, I'll be the bad guy, but you acting like a colossal jerk on here isn't helping. Again, nobody is saying that we want Tua back. Stop Assuming ****, and stop redirecting the conversation to fit your narrative and your angle. NOBODY is buying a Tua jersey this year. You don't need to hammer that reality home to any of us. We're all well aware of his shortcomings, but the reality is we owe in 50 million dollars and that still needs to be sorted out.
