I know I said its time to move on but we broke another record.
First we broke record of most dead money in NFL history and now we have the most players in nfl history under minium salary 43 to get under the cap.The previous record was only 30.

I understand what you mean pump. But look at it this way, come 2027, we’re projected to have $143 million in cap space. I don’t think we’ve EVER had that much money on the books

That's true and the even more important part is that we might have a GM that understands that the cap space is for retaining players...not splash free agent signings that break the bank.

I am proud to say that the day we signed Chris Grier, I posted a thread here calling him the ultimate snake oil salesman. Many of you hated me for it, but I was so positive because he was such a con man with all the right answers yet not an ounce of substance to anything he said. I can still see Ross smiling like a buffoon as he repeated "perennial playoff contenders" over and over. We basically tanked three seasons to end up where we are today...in cap-hell, forced to trade away talent, and completely starting over.

Looking back through a 2026 lens, we traded Tunsil for three first round picks, and we gained....bah bah bah....a few 2-3 year rentals that we sent back to the dealership. It's literally inexcusable how poorly mismanaged we were, and we lost our own 1st round pick due to tampering over Grier's incompetence as well.

I am very glad that his era has ended in Miami and we can actually get back to building a football team the correct way (by identifying, signing, and retaining home-grown talent).

Okay, I feel better now! I haven't ranted like that on here in ages.
