I'll be shocked if we let Brooks go. At some point, you need veterans on your team and unless it's an NBA trade where we get high-value assets for years to come, we already have too many picks. I know Sully isn't a trader by his admission, but I'll be surprised to see us drafting 11 players this year.
Rumor mill has it the Dolphins are really trying to secure a 2nd 1st round draft pick for next year’s draft. If Brooks can command that level of a trade, you never know. I hear Dallas is VERY interested in him. I could see Miami sending Brooks and say a 2nd or 3rd round pick to Dallas in exchange for next year’s 1st
I like that trade and it definitely helps the Phins fill out the defense and offense. While I'd rather have picks for 2027, I'd be okay with this too.
