That's what happens when you have no running game.

I want to know what Cam's game plan was? Knowing we are in trouble at running back, you'd think he would have gotten our quick guys involved early and hit them on quick passes in the seams to give them a shot to make something happen after the catch. Instead we lean heavily on an injured back and a 4th stringer. We do have SOME guys who could give us a shot at something. But they have been way under-utilized.

This offense is hopeless. I don't know if Beck doesn't have the confidence to throw it deep and is checking everything down, or whether Cam's play calling the last three weeks just sucks. But you cannot score in today's NFL running a horizontal and underneath passing game.

In either case, today is the first time I question whether Cam deserves a second season. I expect mistakes from a first-time NFL head coach and certainly he can't be blamed for the depleted talent or the injuries, but if he can't even groom a young quarterback, we need to bring in someone else.

Rb makes the Qb better, not the other way around in 99% of the time.

I mean why go offense, we could have Dorsey to stop the other team from scoring when we turn the ball over on our own 30yd line...:(

I'm not expecting him to be special, I'm really not. But, I'm watching the guy, and he has only done a few things well. He makes solid throws in the short to imtermediate zones when he has time (this is pretty much a pre-req for any QB who to actually be in the NFL unless he has elite scrambling ability). In any companies HR department, to be considered for a position you have to have certain KSA's (knowledge, Skills, and Abilities). These are minimum to be considered. You don't score extra for having them, you just have to already have them.

To be a pocket passer in the NFL, you have to be able to make a short to intermediate throw, be fairly accurate, and make decent decisions. Without those you aren't even considered for the league. Thus far, I think he's shownt he KSA's to be an NFL QB. Now, I'd like for him to demonstrate a few skills above this to be building blocks for the future.

I'm not asking for much, just some nice drives, a few TD's and a few throws that I don't think Cleo or Fiedler could make. That's it...

Guys I have to be honest: I am worried enough about Brown to wonder if we should go with McFadden. Brown is a back that takes a lot of pounding around the knees and legs and he has been hurt every year so far. It wouldn't be a surprise to see us go with a RB early.

Beck's performance today is why Cameron was hoping qwe could establish a running game early. Cameron knows Beck isnt ready for primetime yet. He didnt want to put it on Beck's shoulders. Unfortunately the Jets took our run game away and we forced to have Beck air it out. He's simply not ready yet to be starting. So be it. Hopefully Beck learns a little from his mistakes today. He needs to read the blitzes better but that takes time.

That's unfair, really. We have no running game to threaten with. So all the Jets have to do is tee off on the passing game; knowing that a rookie is going to make BIG mistakes. Our OL is not helping either.

By now, Cam has either got IT, or he doesnt. Folks, Cam has learned nothing, and he is not going to help us next year. New coach, new DC.

LOL. Yeah, we'll hear from "those guys" plenty this week. What scares me is that SO much has to go wrong for a team to lose EVERY game in a season.

Miami has had that kind of season though. It might very well happen, and that would be a blight of historic proportions. The WORST team ever.

    :(

Every QB has a bad game. Even Brady, Manning, etc. Beck's career isn't over because he had one. How he rebounds from this will tell us more about him.

WE don't have any running backs man, and Beck was telegraphing everything and he was blindsided twice.

That not looking off the safety is really a problem, that is QB 101 stuff.

  38. SCall13

But the thing is, CAM knew our situation at running back and STILL put his eggs in that basket. How can your primary game plan revolve around a depleted RB corp. It's a bad coaching decision. In fact, it's a horrible coaching decision. There are other things that can be done to compensate in this situation and still take some of the pressure off Beck. This was a game that was lost before we took the field. Terrible preparation and game planning.

Ronnie didnt go down by running the ball though. He went down by trying to play Linebacker after Lemon thru a pick. He got injured the previous season by a freak hit on his hand against the Lions. I just think hes unlucky. Running the rock he is fine.
