Just got back from the stadium. That game was fun! As the crowd filtered out to the parking lot, it was a playoff atmosphere. THANK YOU GOD for the arrival of Parcells/Ireland/Sparano!!!!!
Good for you man! I would have been there but I live in North Ga in the Mountains (moved for work). I was digging how loud the crowd was getting. Now we need to do the same against other AFC east teams at home with more fans!
Damn, I wish I could get to a game this season. I want to go, badly, but between my son's sports and Boy Scouts (I'm an assistant Scoutmaster) and my daughter's soccer and dance, we're busy almost every weekend. Still has been fun watching them this last two weeks!
I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings up here in Erie, Pa. There were quite a few Dol-fans hanging around and we had a blast. FINS WIN!!!
exactly.... It feels so good....like I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel... we're showing up solid....confidence is the key word now...beating NE...then beating the Chargers....way to go
yeah man, confidence. Our team now knows that they are just as good as any team in the NFL when they play smart solid football. Knowing is half the battle.
im so ticked off I couldnt watch this game today... I was given two tickets on the 30 yard line, 18 rows up for the lions/bears debacle today... I spent more time checking the updates of our game on the out of town scoreboards.... so glad we won this game... its absolutely huge for us! especially after the NE win... just awesome!
The stadium was still quite empty...was surprising to me. (An outsider)...lots of empty seats...and while the weather wasnt perfect, this is football we are talking about, bad weather is still part of the fun to show up and root. I loved when it rained (glad it wasnt too long or steady)...its football! I hope the Stadium returns to full sellouts and butts are in the seats.
I think these last two games will go a long way towards the next game..We've lost 8 of the last nine home games until today, and played poorly to boot.
Funny, I didnt know if I was privy to something unique and special...but agreed, walking down the ramp from the 400 level, its was loud and fun. Lots of whistling, signing, chanting and clapping...its was LOUD, real LOUD. Loved it.
I think we will be seeing a lot more of that (emptiness at stadiums) and not just at Dolphin games, but across the NFL considering the state of the economy, the price of tickets, and the fact that many households now have HDTVs.. I went to the Jets game, but I sortve prefer watching a game from a 50 inch HDTV.. I can see and understand more of the game at home than I can from the nosebleed seats, and I didnt have to spend 50 bucks and a quarter tank of gas... That being said, I do love being in the stands when the game comes down to one play and being able to help feed our team with energy and support to get a win...
I was wearing my aqua Ronnie Brown jersey at a sport's bar. Lots of people came up to me and said "Good job beating the Chargers," and "Your Phins are looking good." It feels to nice having this team playing good again.
Its really something how a team can turn around so quickly when you have someone making intelligent decisions at the top. There has been a lot of terrible decisions over the years and some that were downright stupid.
The offense isn't great for now, but it's doing fine, and showing promise..Pennington provides leadership, Ronnie and Ricky are an amazing combo...receiving corps growing slowly with Fasano, Camarillo and even Ted Ginn contributing more..and the o-line is not killing the offense as used to. But what I'm pumped about is the turnaround on the defensive side of the ball........after last year's debacle, horrid play and an atrocious rushing defense..how about these stats? Pts allowed per game 21.3 17th Tot Pts allowed 74 8th overall allowed YPG 288.8 9th Rushing Yds allowed per game: 82.8 7th!!! Think about some f****** improvement!! Our obvious problem is the passing game with a 206.00 yds allowed per game, standing as 27th nothing that some added DB's in 2009 can't deal with!!
Head, that was just what I was gonna say. Brilliant minds think alike, eh?? I was supposed to be down this past week to watch the game today and thru the Pats game in Nov. But that plane was derailed when I had to rescedule a cardioversion form last week til this. hopefully, i'll be cleared to come down after election day and watch those next 3 games!!
The last couple of games have put a perma grin on my face. The win today was huge. I can't say enough about our coaching staff right now. And Ronnie is probably the most productive and well rounded back in the league. Lets go Phins!!!
