My Grandmother had been suffering from kidney failure since late August, and faught very hard to survive it but this morning she finally could fight no longer. She passed away early this morning and since these message boards are about the only place I ever go to, I thought I'd let her know I'm thinking of her. She was 98 yrs old, born on X-mas day. She almost made it to the big 100 but God had other plans I guess. Thanks for the chance at life Gramma, I'll miss knowing that you're no longer with us, but cheerish the fact that your spirit will be looking over me from now on. You lived longer than most people could ever dream of, and I'll always brag about you almost reaching 100 yrs of age. While I am somewhat crying as I type, this is not meant to be a sad post. I'm very proud of how she handled a lot of things in her life. This is more of a praising type of post to let her know I'm pulling for her, in her next journey. Thanks
Very sorry brother Oz. Good to see you realize the value in knowing somebody as you did her. She is gone in stature, but through you she will obviously continue to live. The good things she has passed on to you or obvious to the rest of us. Much prayer and good will coming to you from the Desert bro.
Grandmothers are so special, when we are young they always are happy to see us and seem to know exactly what we need and then they spoil us with it. She sounds like a great person and influence in your life Ozzy, I'm sure she was very special indeed. Sorry for her passing.
Sorry to hear about your Grandmother. Kidney issues are a hard battle believe me and she sounded like a strong fighter.
My dear brother -- hold close the lessons and happiness she gave you and know that she loves you. You will be missed, Gramma. I know you will make the next existence as rich as the one you just passed through.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone! Almost brought me to tears again! Much appreciated and trust me, these condolences could not be given out for a more deserving lady.... thanks again
Sorry to hear about that bro. My she rest in peace my thought and prayers are with you and your family.
Sorry to hear that Ozzy but as you said I'm sure she's in a better place watching over you, feeling better than she has in years. RIP
Sorry to hear it Ozzy. What a beautiful post about your grandmother. She must have been a great blessing to you all these years. And being born on the Lords birthday must have been a wonderful thing. God bless you and your family, my prayers are with all of you. Debby
Shoot, I'm just now reading this. Sorry to hear about your loss Oz, she is in a better place and she'll always be with you. Just find comfort in the fact that she loved you very much and be thankful for the time that you were able to spend with her.
Yeah, I hope everything is going alright with you Ozzy. Also wanted to say that I enjoy your draft work on nfldraftcountdown.com forums, specifically your weekly prospect standouts thread. I'm not a member there but I do read up on your stuff. (I'm assuming this is you lol)
Just to let those who asked know. I'm doing just fine. Just an occassional tear here and there. Like now, but I'm good. Living 98 years!! Think about it? Yeah, I'm sad but also very proud to have a family member live almost 100 yrs! DANG! We can only dream to live a life like that right? For most of her life she was pretty healthy so it most definitely was a good life she led. I'll miss knowing she is no longer on earth but I'm feeling her right now as I type. Feels like shes right over my shoulder.... All is good and thanks very very much for all the kind words EVERYONE!!
i understand your loss oz....just lost mine in june. im sure i can say there are plenty of people here to lend a listening ear if you need one. my condolences brother...hopefully you continue to cherish the memories and tread on those rather than the hurt. hugs to you ozzy.
