This is a very difficult part of the chart. It always is. They've lost to the Jets and Cardinals, both below them. Yet they've beaten the Patriots and, well, the Chargers, and had the ingenuity to torment people with their Wildcat Offense...and I will challenge you to a duel, name the weapon, if you call it the single wing. Very difficult. Actually I hate this part of the batting order.

This is the highest I have seen us. Most rankings have us at 21-23. So what do you all think? What Power ranking do you think is more accurate?

I think we're lower than we are higher. It's not so much a winning thing but a consistency thing at the moment. If we can be consistent we'll deserve the 14 spot. I've seen us at 16.

gotta take power rankings with a grain of salt...its just filler for journalists. they're fun tho, and ill take the 14 spot. Dr. Z has always been kind to us.

I like his quote about dueling if someone called it the single wing. I, myself, have vowed to fight someone in their front yard if they call it a "gimmick"

Dr. Z is one of a very few writers that I like and trust. While he's not always right he's more right than not. And why do I like and trust the guy? Because he played the game and has a true sense of its history. Also hes a pretty good writer, too.

You see Travis, we were okay ranking the Fins at 14 and 15.

Well we beat last years AFC Championship teams. Granted NE is not that type of team right now, San Diego is. On the other side, we got blown out by ARIZ and beat by the Jets. I can except the ranking of 14 or one as low as 20. We are middle of the pack right now. A couple more wins and we will really begin to move up.

They are all a bunch of hooey. They can be fun to read, but none are "accurate".

Homerism aside, I would realistically put us at 20-21.

I'd put us around 15-18 probably right now.

I would put us around 20. If we show the energy that we've shown the last couple of games all season, I could see us in the playoffs....big if.

Everyone on his list between #12 and #24 is somewhere between 3-2 and 2-3. Who the hell knows? We've certainly looked better than the bottom third of the league the last two games.

It's funny, I was thinking of our games so far in terms of record -- if you saw us play a game, and didn't have anything else to go on, what would you guess our season record would be? Here's what I came up with:

    Jets: 6-10
Cards: 1-15. Honestly, that game was worse than the score.
Pats: 14-2, easy. We looked like monsters.
SD: 10-6, because it was a home game and I am starting to think the Chargers are just not that good.

    What do you think?
