America!!! Nookleeyar boom: Fallout 3 goes gold - Xbox 360 News - QJ.NET Update: http://forums.thephins.com/gaming-forum/18348-fallout-3-gone-gold.html#post385982
This month is tough. I already beat Saints Row 2. Fable 2 should drop any day now. Little Big Planet I must own. Then Fallout 3... Holy **** man. Good news is that LBP is a quick pick-up and put-down game. Not a lot of time is needed to get your LBP fix. I'm screwed when Fab le comes into the picture though. I want to have conquered and demolished Fable 2 before having to get sucked in by Fallout 3.
I don't know how I'll find the time for Fallout 3 but I still want it. Hell I never found the time to finish everything in Oblivion. I also have to get LBP and I'm probably going to pick up Rock Band 2. Also I want to pick up Bioshock at some point after it's released on PS3. That game almost had me buying a 360.
YOU GUYS WILL NEVER BELIEVE THIS.... IT LEAKED!! No ****. Fallout 3 has leaked and I'm on it. I'll be playing it in a few hours!
Initial Impression First off, wow. The game looks phenomenal. It's obviously running the same engine that powered Oblivion. That isn't a bad thing (to me at least, I F'n loved Oblivion). The textures aren't as great at low detail vids show, but still the atmosphere is amazing. If you like the typical Fallout formula, you'll be perfectly at home. You get out of the vault and WHAM... No direction. No purpose. Nothing. Completely and utterly open and free to go where you want. To some that's hell, to Fallout fans, it's beauty. The story is rich and full of great voice acted characters. The weapons and awesome so far. This game will be a spec freak's wet dream. The S.P.E.C.I.A.L system is back and the perks are more creative than ever. Most of the perks don't have serious negative drawbacks (which is new). The controls are solid, but in my experience trying to play like an FPs will waste amo and get you killed. You have to use the RB button to aim at specific parts of the enemies (them wait for AP to regen) to fully utilize the combat system. All in all, I'm about 7.5 hours in.... My women that I talk to (no girlfriend here) are being ignored, and I'm loving life. Seriously sad, I know. Next update, soon.
Ok, Fallout 3. My only concern is the storyline. Bethesda has been mute about the main storyline, and I'm worried it's not going to be enough to keep me interested. I know the weapons and upgrading system is going to be amazing. The visuals and the world look fantastic, All i want is some news on the storyline. I know your dad goes missing and you go after him. Mor, if you don;t wanna give it away i understand, Just please tell me its good.
Honestly, all I know at this point is... Spoiler Your dad is missing and i'm after him... It has something to do with the war and the vaults
This game is phenomenal. It just gets better and better. The characters and towns are amazing. The amount of stuff to do in this game is utterly mind boggling. I'm gonna go ahead and say that this game will rack up Game of the Year accolades all over the place. I just never want to put it down ever. I've got 25 hours in it and it doesn't look to be close to over. Immersion is everything. Bethesda did a great job at building a real-feeling post apocalyptic world. The amount of character modifications are crazy. I can't imagine two people having a similar experience. I have a friend who also got the game early from Toys R Us, and it's cool talking about quests we finished. Very often our stories were so drastically different that it was hilarious. The fact that it's being released on three different platforms is testament that Bethesda is amongst the most elite of developers. BUY THIS GAME. I am.
Wow! It is good enough for you to buy it? I pre-ordered it awhile ago but now I'm real excited for it.
Do they have two or three people doing all of the voice acting like Oblivion or did they get a few more this time?
