anyone have video of that play? Real time I thought it was a fumble and recovery for Porter. I only saw a quick replay and then it looked like a pass but couldnt dwell on it too much since they snapped a play off really quick coming off a commercial.

I don't have a replay, but I'm 110% sure that the call was made correctly. Simmer down Joey.

I thought it was a forward pass when I seen the replay, but the other guys I was sitting by at the bar said it wasn't...

It was a forward pass, they showed the reply. It was a good call as much as I hate to say it.

Why? Did anyone see a replay of that play anywhere? It pretty much decided the game (not that we didnt let them win it anyway). Big call not to see a replay of so I cant blame him for at least not wanting to see it.

He'll get fined but I doubt he cares as he knows what he said will get attention. I thought it was an incomplete pass but that game was very one-sided when it came to penalties. I saw a lot of holding on the Texans none of which were called.

Hochuli's crew is the worst. We lost a first down and possibly two first downs because of some bad spots.....then Sparano decided not to go for it on 4th and one....I knew we were going to give away the game after this. Never fails when we play the Texans.

Ed Hochuli and his crew have gone from the best referee staff in the NFL to the worst in the matter of six weeks. They flubbed the fumble call in the Denver/San Diego game in week 2 that would have sealed the win for the Chargers, instead the Broncos get the win. In week 3 it was very obvious that Denver was offsides on a critical 3rd down play against New Orleans. No penalty was thrown and the Denver player who was offsides was the one to make the play to stop New Orleans who subsequently missed the go ahead field goal and Denver got another win off Hochuli's bad call or no call in that situation. These are two blatantly bad calls at critical moments in football games that have directly affected the outcome.

Today was no exception for the once fabled "Referee Hochulees." Perhaps it's a case of blatant Dolphins homerism but even in my drunken stupor I saw no less than 2 pass interference, 1 illegal contact, 1 false start, 2 face masks 1 illegal formation and countless holding calls not called on Houston. Only one penalty was called on Houston all day for 5 yards. Miami was assessed 4 penatlies for 30 yards. So certainly we as Dolphins fans can't play the victim card in the penalty department. But it is worth noting that there were several more that could or should have been called.

I believe Joey Porter has every right to request an apology for the play in question. It was a critical play at a critical juncture that went a long way to determining the outcome of the game. Just the sort of play Hochuli and his crew have been known to mess up so far this season. Whether or not it was ruled correctly is hard to say. It happened very quickly and only one replay was shown and neither fox, cbs, nbc nor espn has shown that particular replay again since the end of the game. But rather ruled correctly or not certainly when there's a call that's going to make that big of an impact on a tight game with less than 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter the replay official needs to step in and review it.

Again, call it homerism, I thought it was a fumble and didn't get a good enough look on any replay to change my mind. Whether or not the call was made correctly doesn't matter now. Whether or not Joey gets an apology doesn't change anything. The results are in the book and if the NFL wouldn't overturn a game in which the New England Patriots were caught dead to rights cheating against the New York Jets they're certainly not going to overturn this so I hold out no hope. But it is worth noting that Ed Hochuli and his crew, through 6 games, have already screwed over the Chargers and the Saints, and if you're of the same opinion as me the Dolphins.

Consider this my annual call for better officiating in the NFL.

Although I agree with the call, Go Joey.

**** the NFL officials in general; they deserve all the bashing possible.

it was a forward motion, once the call was made i really looked to see on the replay, and i was dissapointed to see it was a forward motion before joey hit his arm. It was a tough loss, and joey was really upset after starting the last drive on such a tear.

Now HERE'S the problem with him opening his mouth all the time.

Next time, he will probably have a valid point, but who can take him seriously? He is ALWAYS opening his mouth. Once in a while he opens it and it works (2 sacks and a win) the other 97% he looks like an idiot.

Anybody ever heard the story of the boy who opened his mouth and said Wolf?

On the verge of a very tough loss, it also calls his sportsmanship into question. I know some are gonna go off and say who cares?
I DO. He represents the team I follow.
I have close friends that are Texans Fans.
Sorry, but the fact he calls this out directly, and he is dead-wrong, does NOT look to good to those on the other team..and those around the league.

I agree with F-2 (Catchy name by the way ) Joey, just STFU

Of course they know it, but that's the point.
It's fodder for them, and its embarraseing.

He shows extremely bad sportsmanship. Like a crying little baby that didnt get his way actually.
I mean, they beat us, and that's fine. To publicly whine about AND BE FLAT OUT WRONG is over the top.

He was just saying what he thought.......I don't think he saw a replay at that point, he was pissed.

It's not a big deal and every team has a few a55 clowns on their team. You should point that out to your Texans friends.

There ya go you have nuthing to be embarras about now.
