After five games as the starting quarterback of the Miami Dolphins, it is undeniably evident that Chad Pennington is the right person at the right time to lead this offense. Let's all thank the New York Jets – as hard to fathom as that may sound – for making this possible.

Sure, Pennington is not the perfect quarterback. His arm strength, a result of two surgeries on his right shoulder, will always come into question. But look at what we've been forced to witness since Dan Marino retired, consider how many Dolphins quarterbacks have self-destructed because of questionable decision-making, and there is no doubt that Pennington provides a huge upgrade.

I think he is the perfect fit for us. We have not had many good let alone great QB's since Marino retired. I think one thing that Fiedler, Feeley, Lucas, Huard, Griese, Rosenfels, Frerotte, Culpepper, Harrington, Lemon, Beck, am I missing anyone??? didn't have was Pennington's accurary. I can't remember a single pass that Chad has really forced this season. When you don't turn the ball over you give yourself a chance, and it also keeps the defense off the field for a while.

Yeah! I never thought I would say this, but he is perfect for us right now. He's a smart QB who doesn't make the killer, bonehead mistakes that have killed us in the past. He seems to be a good leader. At least a guy who can lead by example and I think that has had an effect on our team already. He's also perfect for this rebuilding process and transitional state that we are in right now. He' s reliable and won't lose games for us, which is perfect for us until Henne, hopefully, is ready to take over.

Pennington has exceeded my expectations and is a very large part why this year were winning some games instead of losing by 3 pts or less

For us, Pennington is what we need, he's just a solid and smart NFL Starting Qb, we have not had that in a decade.

For the first time in a long time, I am not worried about a dumb play late in the game by CP, I feel like we can win every game we are in because we have CP.

I also love the fact he will play Wr in the wildcat, and no one thinks he is some fragile flower due to his past injuries, we are all to concerned with winning to even think of that happening.

Well, another way to look at it is, what a better way for Henne to learn than to be behind Pennington for a year or two. Pennington does not mind being a mentor and Henne is on record saying he talks to him and asks questions all the time.

I think its the perfect fit, a Veteran that does not have a too big an ego to help a young up and comer that will take his job someday.

I think Penny has helped this team even more than we know and I'm glad its worked out that way because the team chemistry is surely there on the offensive side. I fear the only thing to hold us back will be a lack of aggressive offensive play calling by the coaches. They brought Penny in because of his smarts and they need to trust those feelings and turn him loose. We aren't great yet but we can't play as if we are afraid to lose; we gotta let it all hang out!!

Pennington has definitely exceeded my expectations. He had a rocky start but after that he'sbeen magic He's easily the best QB we've had since Marino. I'm really glad Henne and even Beck are learning behind him. If Henne learns to pick up CP's poise and coolness under fire, his accuracy then we're in great shape for years to come.
