I'm preparing to abandon week 6 analysis and move onto analyzing the upcoming game against the Ravens.

But before I do, I figured I would throw out another round of "did you know?" facts:

    1) On Sunday, Patrick Cobbs caught 3 passes for 138 yards. It was the first time this season that any Dolphins player eclipsed the 100-yard plateau in terms of receiving yards. The last time a Dolphins wide receiver eclipsed that plateau was in Week 15 of the 2007 season, when Camarillo did so against the Ravens.

    2) If Chad Pennington can maintain his 98.8 passer rating all season long, it will be the first time a Dolphins quarterback has posted a 90+ passer rating since Dan Marino did it in 1995 (he posted a 90.8 rating that year).

    3) The last quarterback to post a passer rating above 80 was Jay Fiedler in 2002 (85.2). Interestingly enough, Fiedler actually had an almost identical passer rating through 5 games that year (98.6).

    4) Joey Porter has 6.5 sacks through 5 games and is on pace to break Jason Taylor's team record of 18.5.

    5) Believe it or not, Miami is not last in the NFL in terms of 40+ passing plays allowed. They are tied for second-to-last with three other teams, including the Patriots, with 5 allowed. The lowly Lions have allowed 7.

    6) The Dolphins are also second-to-last in terms of 20+ passing plays allowed with 20. The Saints have allowed 21.

    7) The Dolphins are tied for third in the NFL in turnover ratio with a very healthy +4.

    8) Ronnie Brown is a big reason for that. He has fumbled since December 31, 2006 (Week 17) and he has not lost a fumble since November 12, 2006 (Week 10). That's 258 carries without a lost fumble. I think that we can all agree that, at the very least, he's elite in that category.

Those are some good stats... well, expect the ones about giving up big yardage plays.
I like that Ronnie non fumble-itis stat. He sure has been solid in that regard. I also hope Camarillo can add another 100 yard game against those ravens.
