I hope to God (actually Parcells) so. We sucked so bad this year winning one game was amazing. We were so bad that I couldn't believe that I was watching profesional football.

God no not Tice, anyone but Tice.

Houck may be a rehire but he may retire.

Agreed conidering that every single person here has made a borderline ******ed comment, I'm, glad no coach would go to FH.

I demand 500 wins in 08, including 15 SB wins, and Bill Belichick should be nailed to the ground by the balls with a railroad spike.
Thus making the Miami Dolphins the greatest team ever.

Naw, from what I read, it was a retainmentn, not an extension if you re-read it, with the context of a new Coach (Cameron) being hired around that time. So essentially, cam could have fired him, but retained him, for his final year.

I'm not happy or sad about the Phins firing Cam, as long as it is for the greater good of the team.

Mike Tice for head coach ? Please no.

couldnt bother qwith 13 pages but I said Parcells had a 90% chance of firing Cameron. Its an ego thing. Now Parcells gets full credit for the inevitable turnaround. Cameron and Mueller did the hard part of suffering through the tearing down process and Parcells gets the benefit of the rebuilding process. We put off our turnaround for one more year as we learn our 4th offensive system in 5 years. Matt Ryan looks like a better pick now aso maybe it benefits us in the end. Tony Sparano hopefully knows his stuff

I'm not really excited by the fact we are starting over (again) with the Head Coach spot. Then again, with the regime change in the front office, I kind of expected this. I am glad to see folks like Armstrong and Mularkey no longer with the organization, I'm hoping Houck comes back.

By the way, Mike Tice is not the answer for us as a Head Coach.

they are doing what saban should have done three years ago, blow it up, if saban did that and then left the team we would be in good shape

guys hate to tell ya, but we never went in to full blown rebuilding mode.

Most of that is Wanny's fault for trading so many picks, but he's not the only one. I think Saban had the right idea, but after going 9-7 he tried to go quick fix at QB, but neither one worked. Despite Cam and Randy having a decent draft, they never went into rebuilding mode. If we were going into rebuilding mode we would not have gone out to get Joey Porter and to a lesser extent Trent Green.

As for us sucking, who knows. Really depends on how the team responds to the new staff. Maybe whoever we hire has a Sean Payton effect his first year, or maybe he can make the team respectable very quickly like McCarthy did in Green Bay, Wisenhunt did in Arizona, Del Rio did in Jacksonville, and Fox did in Carolina. Even to a lesser extent, Tom Coughlin in New York.

I get the impression that the team, especially the vets, never bought into what Cam was preaching. Remember back in April, only one player supported the Ted Ginn pick; Chris Chambers who went to Glanville.

I accept rebuilding, but I don't think Cam had a clear cut vision as to what he wanted to do (same with Mueller). All I can really say about them is they drafted 10 good character guys.

I think the main issue with Cam... Game planning and such aside... Was he is just a horrible leader. Players will not respect a coach who does not show leaderhsip abilities and the longer Cam was here, the less he showed.

    That will get anyone fired!

I figured the writing was on the wall for Cam when we got Parcells. Makes it another year he can't get a winning season as head coach of anything. I think he can be a good offensive coordinator but I don't think he has the it-factor to be a head coach.

I'm hoping whoever gets hired re-signs Houck. Likewise for Tim Davis, his assistant. Bobby Jackson, a RB coach with immense experience should also have been kept.

For those of you who think we're starting over, at least is a good starting over with a real football guy in charge like Tuna....and Ireland seems like he's ready to get down and dirty and is ready to go to work....Cam was very nice to the press but Ireland and Tuna are not here to win a popularity contest, they're here to win games and they're gonna bring their people and will get our team turn around.

    Ozzy rules!!
