Just reading the article, I don't like this statement which i think is BS.

makes me think twice about wanting to DL any games from them.

That's just for the video service, with most games (excluding games like Warhawk, GT5P, etc) you have extra downloads (5 total) in case something goes wrong and you lose all your data. They definitely need to do something about videos though.

seems logical to me. They are offering a free service, why would they want to be responsible for a screw up...

its free to connect to their network, but you have to pay to download their stuff.

The reasoning (even though i think its wrong) behind restricting the downloading of videos once, no matter what the issues that come up are, is that they pay the studio everytime someone downloads that video and would have to pay them again if they let you download it again for free. I feel they need to stand behind the product they are selling and offer you a new download. Although if something like that does happen, you have recourse through your credit card company.

    Still.. :pity:

I don't understand how you are supposed to take responsiblity for what you downloaded. If you download a file and its corrupt, your screwed. I know on XBL you can delete it and just redownload it. I was considering getting RB3 for the PS3 to play with friends, but will just keep my 360 version. Also thay TOS prolly won't hold up in a court.

Again, this is just for the video service. With most games (not incluiding Blu-ray re-releases on PSN like Warhawk, Burnout, Socom, etc), packs (yes, incluiding ROCK BAND song packs) and expansions you have 5 downloads total (hell, you can even share it some friends if you want) in case something bad happens.

Guess I didn't understand how that worked. But I still think its jacked that you are responsible for video downloads if they go bad. Would totally suck if you had to play for download twice. I don't have many games on the PS3 but don't use the PS3 store that much, I had started to download movies on XBL lately, but prolly wont for the PS3 with this announcement.
