Start him regardless. He'll either get the bulk of carries or goal-line ones. Likely the former because Pierre Thomas has seen time in goal-line situations.
Now I just have to hope he can make it through the next 3-4 games without getting suspended if that story holds up. I also was able to pick up Justin Fargas which I highly recommend doing. Fargas got 28 carries last week, McFadden's toe is still hurting, and apparently Cable is also in love with Fargas. And the best part, here's his schedule for weeks 12-16: Den KC SD NE Hou NE isn't an easy game, but the other 4 are great matchups.
I suppose Aaron Stecker gets the nod then. He's looked good in preseason and he's more experienced than Thomas. I wouldn't pick up either for now but if I had to, my money'd be on Stecker.
Na, not yet it hasn't. What you posted is what I was referring to. What this first report is saying is that these guys tested positive for water pills, not actual steroids. A lot of people use the water pills to mask roids. Basically, it's speculation right now. The league would have to prove that these guys used the pills to mask roids and not just to lose weight.
Need a bit of help.... my league plays three runningbacks. Two of those spots are filled by Westbrook and McGahee, the other one would normally be filled by Ryan Grant, but he is out with a bye.... So my options in the bench are Darren Sproles (playing the Saints), Ricky and McFadden (playing the Ravens). Now I know not to play McFadden, but I am torn on the Ricky-Sproles thing. Sproles has been getting less and less carries, but so has Ricky, The Bills are a better D than the Saints (which are terrible)... but Sparano says he is going to feed the ball to Ricky a little more. I have Sproles at the moment.... but I am totally unsure about whether it is the right choice or not.
Go with Ricky. Sparano says he wants to involve Ricky more. Sproles would have more value if LT took a week off.
Please help me decide on two receivers: Hines Ward vs the Giants Braylon Edwards vs the Jaguars Vincent Jackson vs the Saints.. Thanks.
Thats a rough one bc of all the weird variables this week. Ward will probably be boxed up quite a bit bc Holmes is out. Edwards, I'm just not sold on him or that offense yet. VJack, will probably get a lot of targets, but how will the weather be in London? I would wait and see what the situation with SD is looking like. The weather and if Chambers is playing.
I'd go with Ward and Jackson as well. Just go with the better QBs, Derek Anderson is having a really rough year and can't be counted to complete more than 50% of his passes. Braylon Edwards seems to be losing his concentration lately as well, dropping balls and the like
This is a tough one. Since Chambers went down Jackson has been top 10 in my league. NO D is middle of the road. Edwards and Anderson have both been terrible this year. Jacksonville defense is near the bottom as they just do not make many plays. Ward has been productive most of the year but he goes against the toughest defense of the bunch. Giant D doesn't allow many TDs and gets after the QB which might cause BigB some problems with Smith out on the OL. I would pass on Edwards, Anderson's struggles plus his own are too much. I would be okay going with Ward. I would go with Jackson since Chambers looks to be out.
If Boldin is only going to play maybe half the offensive snaps, would it be better to start Breaston who should play 60-75%? It's not just the snap total that worries me, it's another Colston type first game back and the Panther D. Plus Boldin has supposedly lost 10-15 pounds and that will affect his conditioning and strength. My only other options are Engram (please come back Hasselbeck) and Gates. Also Mewe Moore or Michael Turner? PPR league those 4 or 5 catches for Moore make a difference.
My gut says Boldin won't see much time. Whisenhunt doesn't seem sold on letting him play extensively. I would wait and see if there's a game time decision on Boldin, but if you have Breaston you might as well pencil him in for a flex slot. Anyone who owns him will cut him on Monday regardless. Same with Mewelde Moore: Parker is coming back soon, so use Moore if you have him. Otherwise, what's the point of keeping him on your roster?
Here's some questions: First, at WR in week 8: Lance Moore Greg Camarillo Chansi Stuckey Second, anybody have any guesses as to if Stephen Jackson will play or not? Third, if Jackson doesn't play, would you plug in Fred Taylor or Kevin Faulk?
Not sure which two running backs to start. Right now I have Chris Johnson and Steve Slaton starting. Michael Turner @ Philadelphia MJD vs. Cleveland Chris Johnson vs. Indianapolis Steve Slaton vs. Cincinnati It is a PPR league
Praying SJax, Chambers, and Boldin play tommorrow...if not I'm pretty much screwed in two leagues. Stupid BYE weeks.
Moore, or pick up Josh Morgan. Jackson is 50/50 last I heard but I think you obviously wont see him at 100% and maybe not getting as many carries. Faulk and Taylor is a crap shoot.
I duno man. SJ will probably play IMO, but with issues like I said above. Chambers is looking doubtful. Boldin wont get as many reps but prob will play. Pick up someone else if you can.
Fantasy football is all about finding those late season players either on the wire or through trades that push you over the top. I would have picked Morgan up if he was practicing this week.
Do I play Josh Morgan or Tory Holt this week? I have Morgan in my lineup but some ff sites are all over the place on these two guys.
Jackson is a game day decision. If he doesn't play I'd go with Faulk. I think he's NE's only healthy back unless they use Evans (FB) back there. I'm thinking that with Bush out that NO may throw all day so Moore might have a big day.
They have Ben Jarvis Green-Ellis also with him being younger and bigger I wonder if he wont get more touches.
Both defenses are weak. Morgan's groin, new HC, Trufant may cover Morgan, SEA O still cannot score. It will be hard to trust Holt but with a limited Jackson and Avery loosening things up, he may have his best game of the year. I'd go with Holt one more time.
Here's one I'm a little bit torn on Wes Welker, home against St. Louis or Reggie Wayne, away against Tennessee Welker has the more favorable matchup, but Wayne is the superior receiver with a superior QB throwing the ball. Then again, TEN has only let up one passing TD all year long. But Indy has surprised against good defenses
If you haven't already, give some consideration for Donnie Avery for a #3 WR if he's still available. He's becoming Bulger and Haslett's favorite WR and he's got a few big catches for TD's.
I got offered Desean Jackson and David Garrard for Roddy White. Should i take it? I'm weak at QB, Gus Frerotte and Dan Orlovsky.
I'd probably do it. Garrard won't be a huge producer but he should be consistent. I won the league with him as my QB last season. And your QBs right now are horrid.
