This guy showed last year and he showed today that he is a playmaker. I don´t care if he is the biggest knucklehead on this planet and a lazy practice scrub. We need guys who make plays on sundays so he needs to be on the field period.

I don't think he played that well. He was ok at times but I saw him make mistakes and a few missed tackles.

I thought he played well to be honest. He did make some mistakes but who doesn't in our secondary? He makes plays and he's around the ball. He took part in the fumble forced on Royal, he is solid on ST's and he was in on the goal line stand (him and Porter). I think that he's a guy who is inconsistent but he's also one who can make a play and I think that's why he should be out there.

That was completely irrelevant considering the 9 point lead, but he played well outside of that.

No he didn't, you can say he got "beat" on two plays where Evans and Hardy ran great routes but didn't affect much. He also led the team in tackles and had a pass defended.

No i think we were talking about the same time..........i'm not talking about the punt, so we must be talking about the same play.

Ether way, if the Bills put 7 up there it would still be a 2 point game, so i think it was relevant. They still could of came back and won the game. It's not like that kind of thing never happens.

For what they asked him to do he was solid. No big plays for TD = Gives your team a chance to win.

I won't say not a bust yet. He's not worth his draft position though.

He should have not been so easily matched on with Evans, but considering he was a lot it coulda been a lot worse.

Made sure he didn't get beat very deep and kept stuff in front of him. Admirable first start, but lets hope he does improve on this in the coming weeks.

Receivers will always catch passes no matter how good the corner.he did well for what, his first CB game ever? Has he played Cb yet other than in practice?

We always said, put in Allen and good things may happen. I think his ST stints have helped him, he has a laser lock for the ball.

How many TD's did Jason Allen give up today? Then tell me how many TD's Crocker, Goodman, and Hill have given up. LOL.

Allen did a good job today. He didn't get beat deep, and he was right there to make the sure tackle when the receivers made catches. He broke up at least one play, and he forced a fumble. Not bad for his first start against a team that was 5-1.

Maybe with more playing time, he will be more CONSISTENT, this guy is a ballhawk. At the beginning he was shaky but he got better as the game went on.

He led the team in tackles and with Zach Thomas no longer here that is saying something. Maybe with more playing time he can improve and be more consistant. We definitely need a playmaker in our secondary because that can pick your team up and change the tempo of the game, and we don't have one now.

I wouldnt say that play won us the game BUT it was a good play in that he put a hat on the ball.

I dont know what the deal is with him (why three coaching staffs have not played him) but he does seem to come up with turnovers when he plays.

Well ok , but it was the nail in the coffin.

Yep , he seemed to play well last year as well.I know all the players take test getting ready for the game, but at some point they have to let our " forest gump" play.

Jason Allen played well enough that he should keep playing. He made some mistakes but with game time hopefully those start to disappear. I hope he sold himself enough to Sparano that he will get more game time

Jason Allen had a good game, but he most certainly is a bust. A first round pick in his third year that's not even starting and hasn't played much in the last two season is indeed a bust.

Jason Allen caused the fumble in the end. He came in with the tackle, his helmet knocked the ball loose. Bell came in a little later with his hand but it was certainly Allen's play.

    thats the point. I agree.

Is he worth a roster spot? definately..and he's improving..
But for a 1st rounder drafted into the TOP 20....he's still a bust imo. I hope he develops more though.

We should change the sea creature on our defensive backs' helmets from a Dolphin to a halibut.

Nothing? Because we're not the Dolphins, we're the Dolphins' fans. And whether or not someone is not the sole determiner of whether they're cut.

I don't think it's up to Jason at this point....he' playing because the rest of the guys not playing aren't doing the job in the secondary. At any rate, he played decently...not great but no glaring mistakes... I still think that moving him around so much has slowed his progress down...he's not known or should I say he's been known to be a slow learner...reminds me of how we treated Carey for a couple of years...(albeit it was more of a need of a LT than moving a guy to be moving him)...

I'd like to see Allen left out there to see what they have...afterall, next offseason isn't that far away....

Everytime Jason plays, he makes me wonder WHY he hasn't been in the secondary all along. The guy is by FARR our most athletic DB . . . leaving him on the bench is stupid, especially with our secondary being weaker than most. Goody, and the Allen brothers came to play today.
