Guys.. I watched him play many times and he is as good a CB you can find in the entire draft He is very physical and great cover corner watch this clip [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YRH7bCT-SM[/ame]
yeah i agree. i have posted before on him and his projection is a late second to early third from what i understand. i love how hes physical and good at covering as you stated. heres some information for the people who are not familiar with brandon. CB, Brandon Flowers (Jr.) Draft Projection: 2nd Round Height: 5-10 | Weight: 200 Flowers is a naturally-gifted defender with excellent ball skills. He has excellent footwork and back pedals fluidly. He has great agility and doesn't lose momentum transitioning in coverage. He breaks well on the pass and instantly gets into an offensive position in defense. He's an instinctive defender who has a great burst of speed, diagnoses a play, and defends the run well. Flowers is an underclassman who's physically ready to take his game to the next level, but it remains to be seen if he'll do so. He's an elite corner with promising ability and is a definite Day One selection. link: http://buf.scout.com/a.z?s=24&p=2&c=710248
He had 5 interceptions this past year along with 7 pass defended and 72 total tackles which is very impressive.
5'10 200 pounds is the average corner size in the NFL, they aren't going to get much bigger then that.
I agree Alen1 - I don't think he will last until the 3rd... I think he is a 2nd rounder for sure and probably early second. The thing about it him that I like and you and I mentioned, is that he is not only a great cover corner, but he is very physical and plays the run very well, that is something that you don't see too often. Gholston 1st, and Flower with one of the 2's would be super duper for us.
yeah i think if we can get chris long or gholston along with flowers, we would be in good shape. then maybe if BP chooses to wait for wideouts in the second day, i think we could take a look at Xavier Adibi from Va tech also in the second round. hes got great speed ( reported 4.59 Forty) for a linebacker and great instincts. he is a very solid tackler and is always there to make the big play. i would also state vince hall but hes a bit undersized. .... btw im not a va tech fan lol i am a proud hurricanes fan
I really think vince Hall will make a great SS... he is a bit small for a LB ... he is very good in pass coverage and plays the run well.. just a thought
exact thing i was thinking while writing on the previous post. i am not sure why i didn't state it as i was writing it but thats a good point. only problem about him being a safety is that he runs a slowww forty for a possible safety.( reported 4.89 forty). maybe cover 2 would best fit his abilities?
I actually like Kalib and Cason and the 2 Jenkins...there're gonna be some good corners coming out this year and we should get 1 unless we get 1 in free agency. Ozzy rules!!
I rather get Hardy with the 1st 2nd the mans a man among boys. Plus they like players that are big n physical and u know ull get that in Gholston, Dorsey; Flowers and hardy. tahts a solid draft to get 3 of those 4.
Doesnt matter still need 1 more guy. Allen is a FA after the coming year plus hes a solid 2 someone needs to replace him one day. Perfect for Flowers for exmaple to be a 3 guy n take his spot later.
