Here's my thoughts about what Ireland/Parcell will do in the offseason

Trade down getting at least a 2nd round pick back and take the best available front seven player left from Dorsey, C Long, Goulston, Laurenitis. A trade down to #3 or 4 would be ideal

Surround Beck with a lot more talent and a capable backup QB/mentor. Lemon should be shown the door. He doesn't help this team get better at QB. Get a 1 or 1A type WR with speed and size even if that means trading for Ocho Cinco or Roy Williams and giving up one of their #2's. Both of those guys are younger upgrades over Chambers so this is a case where I wouldn't mind giving up a second rounder. Bernard Berrian and a top flight TE in the draft like Davis or Rucker would also go a long way to helping Beck develop. Dallas Clark would also take TE off our priority list in the draft

Move Carey back to RT, insert Mormino or Toledo at LG, re-sign Hadnot and bring in Flozell Adams to play LT. This is a good line that needs continuity and all of its players at their best positions

Roth comes back healthy next year, Holliday can still play and Rod Wright looks like a keeper to me. Maybe Solai develops, maybe not but we need a playmaking NT.DT and pass rushers from this draft. Two solid players makes this unit good again. It sucked this year.

Scrap all linebackers on the team except for the cap killing Porter who also happens to fits Tuna's mold of a 3-4 backer. Trade JT if a 1st or 2nd can be had. Crowder is over-rated (does he ever make a big play or flash speed?)and everybody else outside of Abe Wright has had enough time to prove that they are nothing more than backup backers. Zach has more value on this team than as trade bait and has earned the right to play here as long as he can but Miami needs bigger younger LB's all around. Brandon Chillar would look good next to Porter

One of the top picks has to be a corner. We have ZERO playmakers at corner and Goodman and Daniels are awful. Our safeties aren't much better. Pray that Y Bell re-signs and can be half the player he was b/c that would still make him the secondary's best player. Both Allens are serviceable, not great, and Jason Allen should still be kept on a short leash because he's out of position far too often to be considered a reliable safety. I could see taking 4 or 5 DB's in this draft

Teach Brandon Fields to kick off. Feely can't do it. Sign a top special teamer from another team who can tackle and reemphasize a key part of the game that Armstrong and Cam forgot about.
Take Ginn off kickoff duties and let Booker have a shot. I think Ginn was tired of taking hits on kickoffs at the end of the year and his returns became, well, diminishing returns. He should become more of the offense this year

Not a bad post...I agree with some of the stuff you wrote there. We do need bigger LB's as I just posted in another thread and you're right, Porter seems like the only LB that can play that 3-4...Abe Wright could get a look as an OLB.

    Ozzy rules!!

we dont have ANY 3 4 personell on thsi team. HARDLY a handful. our LB core is HORRIBLE besides porter. dont say crowder, crwoder is just a guy that gets his 5 tackles a game ntn more. not a playmaker not even a Pope to be honest.

Our linemen are small n slow or old n slow. No power or nething.

and feely is probably the top 2 worst Kickers for kick offs ive seen in my life. I say number 1 if u want me to be hoenst. He can't kick for crap but he is a great FG kicker.

My two biggest concerns are at QB, and our D-Backs. We have not had a franchise QB since Dan retired....most of our QB's haven't even been average. Very few teams win without a decent QB. Our D-backs this year were banged up and teams threw at will on us. We went from a pretty decent defense to an old and slow D. We could pretty much use help everywhere so I think if we can trade down and get the BPA in each round, and fill the rest of the spots through trades and FA, we should be a playoff team within a couple years.
