I thought this quote was pretty telling:

Players only have so much of a say? Seems pointed towards the coaching staff to me.

t feel like we're doing this forI some other reason than a victory sometimes. I don't want to call any names. But it's a scary thought to think that we're not all out to get a victory. I don't know what other reason we're out to play this game, but right now it seems to be something else going on somewhere, and I don't know what else it is," Traylor said. "I don't know what other reason you would be involved in this game other than getting a victory."

When told a paycheck is a pretty significant motivation, Traylor said "You can go get paid at Walmart. This is a man's game!...The paycheck is the driving force but if you have kind of competitive spirit you want to get a win. You don't want to go down in history as being the worst ever."

This seems like he's saying they are trying to get the #1 overall pick?? And at the same time saying guys are playing to pick-up a check.

I wonder who he's talking about specifically? Holiday got paid and now he's always hurt? Booker dropping passes left and right? Who is he calling out?

Hes calling out the coaching....no doubt about it. They have lost faith in the coaching.

Whatever the case, it sheds devastating insight behind the curtain, and just where the teams unity, not to mention Cams control over it have fallen.

Not that it shouldn't be expected at 0-12

I think the thing about player meetings has to be a shot at the coaches, the other quote IMO might point more at players though. :(

This tends to happen to winless teams though.

That's kinda how I read it too. He seemed to be PO'd at some players and also calling out the front office motivations.

(On if 0-16 now seems real) – “It doesn’t seem real to me still. The funny thing is there is a lot of people hoping we do go 0-16 and that is kind of the messed up thing that really ticks you off. There are people in this room that are rooting against us and want us to go 0-16. We are not going to go down like that. We are going to keep fighting and we’ll get one.”

Okay this is from JT after the game. Maybe he's talking about the media????

He's calling out the fact that we are starting a rookie QB instead of Cleo Lemon.

He's calling out the fact that we played Lorenzo Booker and some special teamer was left inactive.

He's calling out the fact that we traded Chris Chambers in leau of starting Ted Ginn.

He's referencing the fact that Rodrique Wright is on the field.

Did Paul Soliai play? He's probably referencing that too.

    Lekkekker played before Lewienski.

He's probably wondering why Greg Camarillo was on the field.

In other words, he looks around and he sees youth beside him. After 16 years, he knows you can't win in this league with that much youth on the field. He feels sold out.

    I don't care how he feels..... ;>)

I have to admit, 0-16 is becoming a reality to me as well. Next weeks game will be a golden oppurtunity to win one though. Buffalo always plays conservative slow moving, low scoring games. We should have had them in Miami, but like the other 11 we let it get away. We probably ain't beating anyone else, this is the last chance.

    As they should be IMO.

I sat in that stadium today amazed at some of the things being called and many that aren't being called.

I've never... and I mean never been one to support a 1 yr. hook but I think Cameron is way over his head.

Rosenberg was the same way today.

JT is right, they should be pissed offff.

Not for the simply terrible miami sports media, but for their play out on the field.

Today is the first day that I really thought that was true.

Cam needs to pull whatever he mojo he has or he will be Coaching SW Arkansas State in 2009.

John Beck is in over his head Coral Reefer. Cam Cameron is protecting John Beck. We wanted John Beck out there. Were you not willing to suffer the consequences? How soon we forget that John Beck was the QB for the scout team just six weeks ago.

It is what it is. I'm just as depressed as anyone. I want to kill as bad as this team looks. But every week after another abysmal performance I sit back, think, and remember what is going on with this team. People are/were calling for a major overhaul. We are smack dab in the middle of it.

Yeah it was pretty depressing today... these past few games the playcalling has been crap.

I have no problem with going through growing pains with John Beck.

    This isn't about John Beck.
It's about the same vanilla play calling I saw with Green, Lemon AND Beck, it's about the personnel decisions that have perplexed me all year with this guy, it's about some of the most ridiculous time management I've ever seen from a coach, it's about the use of defensive players that clearly ignore their strengths, it's about what looks to be some very limited game planning and a team that always looks unprepared to play the opponent.

John Beck's growing pains are one thing.
Cameron waiting until a game is getting away from them to allow John Beck to swim without a life preserver is setting him up for huge growing pains.

Maybe he's hoping for Beck to Fail Forward Fast....

I don't like Cameron.... at all at this point.... not one little bit.
