Miami Dolphins Team Report - USATODAY.com

"Ted already has something that you can't coach, and I know that I don't have, and that's speed," Pennington said of his growing comfort level with Ginn. "When you can put toughness and speed together, you've got a really good combination. This was a step for him and a step for our passing game. Hopefully we can get better with it."

If opponents start respecting Ginn and his speed it will stretch the field and make our running game more effective .

However it was just one game so I dont know if opponents will spend much time gameplanning against him........yet.

It seems like Sparano and the coaches are spoon feeding this team...first the wildcat and more runs for RB, then screens were introduced, then short passing game utilizing Camarillo's and Besses' quickness, now Ginn downfield....if this is their plan, there must be reasons for it, but some of this stuff, it seems to me, could have been introduced sooner ???

We have a very young team. Baby steps.

I've been saying for awhile, even when a lot of people were real down on him and thought he was a bust etc, that I thought he would turn out to be special player for us. I saw his potential and realized he wasn't being used right, but thought he will begin to show his talent and potential and will really surprise a lot of people. Good stuff!

It seems to me the next step is using Bess and London more on third downs, we're awful on 3rd and long. Unlike some, I see Bess to be more like Welker...small, quick, really good hands, and we certainly need to study how the pat's utilize Wes on 3rd downs and copy it. And as for London, he should be given a shot to do what Wilford was expected to do.

The more I hear from Pennington, the more I respect the guy. He is absolutely unselfish - a true team player.

I agree. We have been just horrible on 3rd and anything over 4 or 5 yards. If we don't get close on second down, we end up punting. Some of these players need t step up and become the go to guys. Bess would be great at that like Welker was. Greg C is starting to get too much respect (earned) and teams will be looking for him to get the ball.

Not that I want to disagree with your statements, but honestly it was ONE game. Hes shown nothing like this in ANY other games besides his Speical Teams play where I still think he should be replacing BESS on returns..

Lets hope he grows into the position even more..

I think as the offense growns and everyone gets more comfortable the 3rd and 7's or more will be easier. I think that the second half of this season will be quite a sight to watch! Look out for the Dolphins!

I understand it was one game. As I said, before this one game, that I had a good feeling about him and saw the potential if he is used properly and taught properly, which he didn't appear to be until lately. It's just a gut feeling of mine. I'm not stating any facts obviously. If I'm wrong I'll eat crow for sure, but i don't think I am. About using him on returns, I totally agree! I've been saying and praying we use him on returns for a long time now. =)
