Need advice on which option to put in my flex: Avery vs. Cards Moore vs. Skins Green-Ellis or Jordan vs. Colts R.Williams vs. Giants Right now I have Avery... also would you start Moore even w/ Parker back, or one of the NE backs over Grant vs. Titans in the RB slot?
Barber didn't do **** vs. Tampa. D's are putting 8-9 in the box. I might go Slaton... Minnesota is giving up 121 yards per game. They're like 21st in the league in run defense.
Slaton is good at catching passes, but Hou hasnt thrown many his way lately. I would take Barber bc of Witten being out and Brad Johnson being Brad Johnson.
I can't pick a NE running back because who knows who's playing... I imagine Jordan would be the the goal line back... Primed for 6 points at the least... But he may not play. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Roy Williams is a late season investment. He doesn't have enough grasp of the play book, nor does he have a QB. Maybe he'll get another fade, but I can't bank on it. I think Parker is Q, so he'll get a few carries, but I think Moore gets the load. Avery is looking good (I'm starting him in one league. Plus Arizona can't win on the road/stop anyone. so... Moore for the RB and Avery as flex.
I would stick with Avey. Moore and Parker are probably splitting carries so I would stay away. Last I heard on NE, Jordan was doubtful. Not that Id start GE anyways bc Faulk will take a nice chunk. Grant just sucks and now he has Ten, no thanks.
Yeah, I'd go with Avery. What about this one.. 1 spot Rb/WR.. choices are - Pittman vs. Miami, Reggie Williams @ Cin, Leon Washington @ Buff. PPR league and punt return yds (25/1pt)
Pittman is banged up and Torain is finally making his debut, so who knows how much time he will actually see. I'm just not big on the Williams play, he may be worth more when Jones starts his suspension. I'd go with Washington, he's always a threat to return one and may even steal a goalline away from TJ...
Thanks for the input. I've been going over this all morning, lol. I'm sticking with my original instinct and that was Williams. I just have a feeling, and I won't feel good unless I put him in. Hopefully the difference in pts, if he is the lesser, won't be a factor in the outcome of my game. I had it down to Washington and Williams, btw. So those will be the two I'll be watching, lol.
Avery, Cards do not cover very well, the others are all dicey I'm starting Faulk over Grant but I am in a PPR. Non PPR I probably go Grant. With Parker back and vs tough Skin defense I do not think you can play Moore.
Agreed. Slaton is only startable over Barber if Green is out (GTD) and even then I still go with Barber.
Im totally torn at WR. Need to fill my 3rd spot, but can't decide. Royal vs MIA Avery vs ARI Driver @ TEN Randle El vs PIT
I cant decide!!! Im already starting S. Jackson, and i dont like play more than one person from a team, so im leaning towards royal. but i really hate playing players against miami. oh, the pain!!!
Well looks like sammy morris is out again for New England so i need a decision on my #2 RB in a deep league. Fred Taylor @ Cinci, Chester Taylor v. Houston? Also, wr, Wes Welker vs. Indy or Kevin Walter @ Minnestoa?
I've got Fred starting, feel the best about him going against Cinci. Wes starts almost every week for me but Walter is coming off a 2 td game and going against minny and i expect a shootout. I'm just torn.
Wes just seems to be a more consistant target. I have Walter on a few teams and it's always a guessing game. He could have another 70 yard 2 TD game, or another 30 yard 2 reception game. You never know if Schaub will focus on AJ all day or even Daniels in the red zone. Wes usually stays around that 70 yard 7 reception mark, however with only 1 TD so far this season.
Was just offered Deangelo Williams and Donnie Avery for Roddy White. Thoughts? I like it but not sure about Avery. I know he's a big play guy but isn't consistent. Williams is having a pretty good year, receiving and running, what what i've seen, but he shares carries so that worries me.
Don't do it. At least, not for that price. The guy is trying to rip you off. If he were offering Chris Johnson instead of DeAngelo Williams, or had a third guy like Tim Hightower in that deal, then it might be worth considering.
Yeah, the more i looked at it, the more i hate it. I think i can pull in better players for White, who is having a great year. The guy has Reggie Wayne along with Fitz so don't know why he'd even need White. Maybe i should try to counter with Wayne in place of Avery? Don't know if he'd bite but i'll see how bad he wants White. Hmm.
Aright heres an interesting one, I need one of these guys to start along with Slaton this week: Fargas vs Car Deuce @ ATL Torain @ Cle I don't think anyone can make a case for Fargas this week. Anyone think I should start Torain over Deuce? Definitely a more risky play.
Torain is risky because Shanny's still stubborn in regards to RB's. I stopped trusting him a long time ago which is a shame because any RB under that OL can do well. You just gotta keep the chemistry going with one back instead of arbitrarily swapping them out. Deuce should get the call while Bush is out.
I picked up Shaun Hill, Sage Rosenefal, and Jamaal Charles this week, I am hoping one of them atleast turns out to be a good idea.
Well he's running out of options...Pittman and Hall just hit the IR, and Young is still banged up, so that leaves Torain unless they sign someone else or use Hillis as tailback in some formations.
Considering Shanny, I wouldn't be surprised to see Hillis take a lot of carries. He's done it before with FB's (see Mike Anderson). Torain's a hardy runner but Shanny's been fruity when it comes to sticking with a RB. Denver RB situations are still too volatile even with all the injuries to be counted on. And I think that lack of consistency is killing them.
Having a hard time picking two running backs to start this week. PPR league and 1 point for every 20 yards rushing. Chris Johnson @ Chicago Tim Hightower vs. SF Michael Turner vs. NO Steve Slation vs. Baltimore Ryan Torain @ Cleveland MJD @ Detroit I have Chris Johnson and Hightower starting now. Looking to go 9-1 this week
Points Per Reception PPR scoring simply means that league rewards points for receptions. It is important to know if your league is PPR prior to the draft, and when scouting between games. Some runningbacks, like Reggie Bush are extremely valuable in PPR leagues, but are not as valuable in non-PPR leauges. WR's like Wes Welker benefit from PPR also. He gets a lot of passes behind the line of scrimmage, and is a defined role in their offense. He gets 6-10 catches every week, but rarely hits the endzone.
Depends on the league. Usually it's 1 reception = 1 point, just how a touchdown usually equals 6 points. I'm sure there are leagues run by Wes Welker fans where a reception scores 5 points, though.
k i need to decide on a flex option this week- its a PPR league Greg Camarillo (points for receptions +) Vincent Jackson (chance for big day against KC +) Ben-Green Ellis (RB, up against Buff's injured d-line) ? right now i have jackson in there on the hope he'll catch a long TD
