Move the left stick slowly until you have more freedom of movement with the right stick. The more you try to hit the tumbler without being near it, obviously the more damage the bobby pins take, so try to go slow. That way when you find the tumbler you haven't wasted 4 bobby pins for just some pre-war cash or something.
After giving this game another chance, it has gone down even more in value to me. It's on my "worse games ever purchased" list right next to that dumb 50 Cent game. Lesson learned after the blind buy; I'll now consider Game Fly.
jeez. and thats why i'll take a pass on this one. oblivion was one of the few games i've ever traded in. the game play was weird too me, the story wasnt interesting. id do that gladiator guild thing, and the fights were lame. yeah there was tons of open ended stuff to do, but it was all boring. i just dont have 4 hour pockets of time to take baby steps in a game like this with. i thought i heard someone say they ran through fable 2 in 12 hours. thats more my speed. i mean, i cant even beat saints row 2 in less than 20 hours, how can i even scratch the surface of this thing.
And Fable 2 is far more interesting from the get go. It's just a better game all the way around; significantly better. I suggest going that route, bro.
LOL, last straw for me. I went into Megaton and killed someone. Now the entire town is trying to kill me. Every time I respawn, I have literally 10 people just sitting there waiting to pull their guns out. What a horrendous video game this is. There is nothing I can do to get away. I just have to start a new game? You've got to be kidding me. And yes, I've turned my 360 off, went out, came back home and I'm still respawning in the same spot with the same 10 guys ready to kill me. They actually expect people to restart the game every time they make a "karma" mistake? GTFOH.
Yep. I beat fable 2 in 2 days. (college = free time) Fallout 3 is not for the uninspired. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a lot of time to pore into it. It's simply to large in scale. Fable 2 however has an open and closed storyline and it's just fun and easy. Nothing to really hang you up or test your patience.
having a kid just makes it impossible time-wise. i'll def. steer clear of this one, but im glad Fable 2 is feasible for me. i'll give it chance.
Go outside the town, push the select button [or whichever is the wait button on 360], wait three or four hours and then go back into megaton and everything will be normal. This game is far from horrendous.
ziiiiiing. I heartily disagree, but it's all good. I just have to say that I am enjoying this game A LOT, my bro and I are pouring a ton of time into it simultaneously and our game experiences seem VERY different. Different paths, different interaction..very cool.
I'm seriously stunned at how many of you guys aren't liking this... I think this game is freaking amazing.
I was seriously thinking about it but decided to go the other route. Of course after one of those stupid deputy robots killed me just for walking into the armory I wish I would have blown the town up.
I tried to double dip and get experience for blowing it up while turning the guy in and we got in a firefight.....thus I lost out on that along with your cool diggs. I'm trying to fix that though. There's a rumor you can talk yourself into tenpenny later on in the game...i really hope that's true lol.
Its just a big crater afterward with some rubble. Then the chick thats writing the book you do missions for. Shes a ghoul then. You can't get into the crater tho.
This game is incredible. If you're buying a game tomorrow, this should be it, no reason to get anything else right now.
Let me guess.. you just walked up to someone and blasted them in the face probably not a great idea .
I'm loving the game...I've been doing a lot of side quests, haven't even touched the main quest. The survival guide is very time consuming though but I'm on chapter 3 so i'm almost done
Not going to rain on the parade you fellas are having as we all have different tastes (rightfully so), but Resistance 2 and Gears 2 come out this week, man! Anyways, I'm done trying to have fun with this game, but I hope you guys continue to have your fun and get your money's worth. *Walks out of thread respectfully*
Dude, I couldn't get out. I spawn in the same spot every time, and there are 10 people waiting to kill me. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind playing it a bit before Resistance 2 comes out on Tuesday.
Run away as far as you can, you'll respawn in the new death spot and eventually you'll make your way out the gate. They won't follow you out of town. It took me 5 attempts just to get out of the armory building where i was getting shot down immediately by the robot every time i respawned. It is kind of an annoying glitch but personally I still like the game a lot.
Well that all dates back to the original fallout. The unforgivingness I mean. You do horrible crap and there's horrible repercussions. Period.
last night I found a rare Chineese assault rifle called the Xuong Long Assault Rifle...does over 50 damage and can be repaired with Chineese Assault Rifles. Yay for side quests, haha
I just made it to Rivet last night, you have to walk by the Citadel to get there but they wouldn't let me in yet I got the Xuong Long Assault rifle at the Spoiler Jury Street Diner, just west of vault 101 where you start. You don't need the quest to get there but I found it by getting a map location added by a terminal I hacked. When you are in the museum looking for the satelite dish for Three Dog there are hidden messages from a smuggler, if you get through them all it gives you a meeting location (jury street), then when you get there he is already dead and you can take all his stuff
Beat the game last night. I have this advice....take it slow. The Main storyline was pretty engrossing compared to Morrowind IMO and I went at it over the past few days and decided to forego exploring. The story while good and lengthy does not cover A LOT of the fallout world. There's a TON of stuff I never visited. I passed a lot of stuff up thinking I'd come back when i got a side quest or that the main story would take me there. No such luck. Also, you can't walk around after you finish the game. It's over so keep that in mind. If you feel like your getting towards the end make a save before you commit to anything so you can keep wandering.
I'm not at the part where.... WARNING - This spoiler is 30+ hours in and can be a major spoiler: Spoiler I found my dad, and was helping him get the water purifier up and running. Then we were attacked by those robot suit guys. Then my dad killed himself to save the purifier. He told me to go get the G.E.C.K. I saved before entering the Brotherhood's main base... Anyone here?
Hmmm........that's a toughie. I found it to be a mixed bag. I felt it was a bit generic compared to the other Fallout Endings (which I really liked). The lack of free roam after the ending irritated me, but the mission leading up to it was hella fun.
ya i would strongly advise takin it easy on the main story as after u beat it u gotta start a new game which is stupid i think
leading up to the ending was pretty sweet wasent to crazy on ending this is my 1st fallout experence though def just a rental for me not one that i would buy
