If we're gonna run a real 3-4 defence like Bill likes to run then we'll need some big LB's and we'd need a few of them....the one's we got now are a little small other than Porter...maybe we can try Abe Wright at OLB next year too...anyway, here're some of the bigger LB's that we could take a look at in april.

    OLB's
    Shawn Crable- Michigan,6'5 241
    Beau Bell-UNLV,6'3 245
    Ezra Butler-Nevada, 6'2 248

    ILB's
    Jonathan Goff- Vandy, 6'4 240
    Ben Moffitt-So.Florida,6'2 240
    Brandon Miller-Georgia, 6'4 257
    Rod Johnson-Oklahoma ST. 6'3 255
    Mike Klinkenborg- 6'2 240

Of course we could get a free agent or 2 but these are some of the bigger LB's in the draft.

    Ozzy rules!!

I like Crable, not only does he find a way to get into the backfield, but he is an excellent player on ST's which is another area of need.

Another player that I have my eye on. He has the size and speed, he's good in coverage and was the defensive captain for Vanderbilt. Leadership is a great quality to have and Parcells said that he looks for that type of thing.

    I still prefer Gholston though.

I saw your post about Goff in another thread. I was going to respond but had to leave work.
I really like Goff too! The guy plays with a lot of intensity. He has good size at 6'-4 235. Also runs a 4.63 which is good speed. He is a projected 2nd or 3rd round guy.

I like the way your thinking L2G. :ffic:

We also share the same opinion on Gholston it seems.

Getting these two guys would vastly improve our defense.

    :D

Getting both of them would be great, to be honest I wouldn't mind getting all 3 if we are able to get extra picks for JT or moving down.

Dan Connor falling to #32??? now THAT would be a STEAL.

imagine drafting Gholston or Long, then STILL being able to draft Dan Connor (at #32). i wonder if Frank Okam will fall, or some good, beefy DT.

I believe Rey Malauaga is staying at USC. I think you also have to add Chris Long to the group of OLB's. I attempted to explain my reasoning in the D. Harvey thread. Based mostly off of Al Groh's thoughts on his move to the NFL.

Okam will fall, I see him as this years Alan Branch, with not as much early hype over him.

There's also Red Bryant who we were apparently scouting at the Texas A&M game.
