What has my attention is Pennington seems to be losing some velocity off of his passes, I think his arm is just getting tired, we need a 20 attempt game for him to stay sharp.

So we are tied with the Bills, and behind the Pats and Jets by a single game.

I agree, but we did everything to try and give it away today.

Had Pennington not thrown that easy pic for a TD, we may not even be talking about it.

But we have to do something to address the special teams problems on kickoffs.

    d-1

Well, Next week the Jets and pats play each other while the bills play the Browns. We play the Raiders. We have to capitalize

This game shows us how the team has grown from the Houston game. The team showed me more today beating the team they "should have" down to the wire being forced to make plays.

I want to know Miami has players that when the very next play decides the game they can step up and do it.

I however don't miss that queasy feeling that comes with games like this bleh.

I also think that once he takes a hard sack he gets off his game. That's what happened right before his pick6

1 game at a time is right. It sucks we struggle against teams. Hopefully, next week vs. The Raiders we can come through. Again, though it will be a battle.

I'd love to see Chad Henne, because I feel he is good. Pennington is playing well, but he has thrown 2 picks for a TD this season, which nearly cost us this game.

We're 5-4, I had predicted the Jets would win our division before the season started and that we would finish 9-7 on the D.D. board, before I was banned...

    d-1

I think you are right Ozzy, CP played like a veteran pitcher whose fastball isn't there, but they make do with using junk stuff.

CP did not throw a single fade route today, that surprised me.

He's also the one that's orchestrated game sealing drives for us that I'm not sure most rookie's could pull off.

I have a new strategy. Everytime the Fins have been in a close game in the last quarter I turn off the game and guess what they win. :woot:

The last time I watched a close game into the 4th quarter the Fins lost versus the Texans.

This is the first .500+ record since 2005 I believe.

A win is a win. I'll take that any week no matter how ugly.

Anyway, did you guy see a lot of holding by the Seahawks OL? I saw blatant holding on almost every run play and it was never called. Just wondering if you guys saw it too.

Pennington did throw a real nice bomb to Ginn today guys. He's making mistakes but I guarantee that Henne would make even more. No coach in their right mind that took over a 1-15 team to get the very next season to 5-4 would bench the QB that got them there.

I feel ya, but we are 5-4, let's not gloss over what Chad means to us this season, he may not be sharp, but even when he is off his game, he can make plays and has the experience to win games for us at Qb.

I'll take CP over Henne all day long, we are neck deep in the playoff hunt and the Texans tanking only helps us, we are probably looking at the Bills and Jets and Steelers as competition for the wildcard slot this year.

I'd love to beat the Raiders, after they ran up the score on us last year, I'd like to see them take some of their own medicine this year.

There were alot of complaints in here during the game about holding not being called. I saw it alot, I know others did too. I saw it quite a bit last week against Denver too...

as john madden from the madden games of old would say...

"ya know, holding is one of those things you could call on every play.. it just depends if the ref is willing to call it or not"

You don't pull Pennington from the lineup unless his arm falls off. Peyton and Favre have thrown some pick 6's this season too, it happens. What he brings to the field has been invaluable, especially in the 4th quarter when games are usually won.

A wins a win, I'll take it. There were plenty of bad calls, but good teams can overcome them... And we're a good team (with bad special teams).

    5-4, baby!

This is what I am afraid of. It's his second substandard game in a row. If we can ever manage to get a big lead on someone, maybe we can sit him down for a while.

What an exciting game! The last minute was starting to look like last night's Penn State/Iowa game. Nice job by the D in holding off the Seahawks, and nice running today by Ricky and Ronnie! Go Phins!:hi5:

Great, so it wasn't just me then. The Seahawks holding was so obvious anyone could see it. It should be called early in the game so it sets the tone for the rest of the game. Julius Jones would not have had nearly those yards if those obvious calls were made. It's so useless complaining though because these refs will never do anything about it.

I saw a stat when we first signed Penny, he was more accurate then Favre on passes over 40 yds +, but when he has thrown over 40 passes his accuracy falls off the charts, it's not that his arm is weak, it is more the fact his arm doesn't recover quickly.

yea i have to second that. Chad always reminded me of a greg maddux type pitcher. never really had the fastball but was accurate with the ball. hats off to the seahawks defense today though. those LB's are fast and talented and the secondary can cover. they are better than their record indicates.

The only problem i had with this game was the play calling. We need to run the ball more, especially with Ronnie Brown when we play bad teams like Seattle. Hopefully, next week against Oakland we do that.

I just got home from the game...took my 12 year old son to his first regular season NFL game and I was damned glad we got a win out of the trip. It's a loooong drive back to Lakeland if you have to sit through a loss. I was scared stiff till the last second that Mare was going to burn us with a long, last second field goal the way players we let go always seem to come back and kill us. Thankfully, it didn't happen.
