Alright guys, it's officially Patriots week. I always look forward to matching up against NE, but THIS game will be one of the most anticipated Dolphins games ever for an entire generation of Dolfans that, unfortunately, weren't old enough to know of the glory days of the 70s or late 80s-90s with a young Marino. I have no doubt this Dolphins team will be jacked up to make another statement to the football world. I don't really have all that much to say, in terms of a meaningful football discussion, but I want to get the enthusiasm up around here for a huge game next Sunday.
The dolphins do not deserve to be on the field with them... Hopefully we come to play hard like we have been... Joey Porter thinks the stadium should be full...I'm probably going. We'll see how the Dolphins come to play. I'm sure we all want to win.
Porter just asked all the fans to come out and pack the house. We need a full stadium to get loud and help the fins beat the pats!
Will this be your first game in Miami? If so, you couldn't have asked for a bigger game. I can picture it right now... Dolphins stadium rocking like it hasn't since Danny suited up. Enjoy it man.. and be LOUD!
It was a potshot at me because of a comment I made in the Arizona game thread. Questioning my loyalty after a 1-15 season. So pathetic. Anyway, who cares... no need to derail the original point of this thread with drivel like that.
I can't even remember the last time I was this pumped up about a Fins team. If special teams comes to play next week, I am sure we can win again, great job on both sides of the ball today...
Well, we need a packed house indeed. A game of this magnitude with half empty stadium again would be a shame on the fan base
How bout that crowd today? Was pretty packed. Also finally got the wave going after unsuccessfully trying the last 5 games.. everyone was into the wave! Hope to see you guys there next week, Ill be there! Section 427!
I blamed it for missing the first down. I'll be there next week, and we got extra tickets a while back and are taking other Dolphin fans who don't usually go to games
Guys, Gals, please go if you can. I live in Saratoga, NY, and if I could go, I'd be there. If you live in SoFla, you have the priviledge of being able to go. GO - what are you waiting for!!! If you can't come up w/ the cash, that's one thing - but if you have it, GO!! I try to make it down every 2-3 years if I can. Holy Christ - Go!!!!
This game is definitly a biggie and we need it bad. We need to keep the pressure on the Jets and this is the game to do it in especially if they drop a game to tenn.
this is gonna be fun. Definitely the biggest game I can remember in a long, long time for the Dolphins. The spotlight will be on us, and the team and the fans need to come out and be electric next week. This should be exciting to watch.
Man I wish I could be there. This should be a good one. A win here would be huge. Sweeping this homestand is exactly what they want heading into the home stretch.
Anybody who has the ability to go really needs to attend. This is the game where we need that 12th man. Not only do you need to go if you can you need to pump up the people around you. Make that stadium loud and proud and make the Patriots miserable. Give them a showing of the likes that they have seen before. The fans need to dwarf what the colts fans can do on their best day. We need to be in Cassel and co's head all day long. Our team has been holding up their end of things now they are calling on our help. We need to answer that call.
Maybe those of us ThePHins.com SOFLA fans without season tickets can get together for a game while the season lasts? HardKore and I went one time to the preason. Maybe we can bring Mike along this time? And Lucky, Sam, Sick, and all the rest can come down and watch a game for once!
Man it would be fantastic if those of you in S.FL can put together a group and really get some sections of the house cheering their balls off.
I will say this, not capitolizing when the spotlight has been on us is one reason why were having this conversation, Both sides have let each other down in the past. I wish i could make all the fans understand the importance of getting their butts in the seats before the game starts and consiously cheer loud, FORCE YOURSELF. it takes some motivation and a little bit of fan awareness to do it, but PLEASE DO IT. To hear our guys talk about it and challenge us really hurts.
Why does anyone need to force themselves in a stadium while your favorite team is playing? I remember when I was going religiously I actually had people look at me kind of funny for shouting "DEFENSE"..."DEEEEFFFEEEEENSSSEEEE"... all the time... I say that if your going to just go and occupy a seat I guess its better than giving it to a rival fan, but still damn why go to the game if your just going to sit on your fat butt and do nothing.
We need Travis {aqua4ever} to bring a bull horn to the game and go around the lots and tell people to get in their seats early.
so true, we need to overcome this, or were not gonna win a championship, iam serious. What is the sense of being a fan if your own team does'nt respect you.. I know everyone here is good but maybe WE need to do more at the games, getting people on their feet, getting them in their seats.. We need a public service announcement....iam serious, we need fan education...
ya know what we should all do is get a group going here. get us all into the stadium with bullhorns and turn'em on and scream through those. it'll be like the 12th, 13th and 14th man.
The guy behind me asked me if I could "please sit down" on the final Raiders drive ("Get off your fat ***" was my response). That's the type of mentality we DO NOT WANT. If you aren't going to be standing on your feet when the opposing team has the football down 17-15 with :38 to go, DO NOT COME. Stay home. Obviously, no one needs to be yelling and screaming the entire time. However, there are moments throughout the game where our team needs the 12th man on the field. There shouldn't be a single 3rd down where that stadium ISN'T rocking. I've been a season ticket holder since I was 4-5 years old. I think my voice matters.
And I swear to God, the next "defense" chant I hear in my own stadium when my team has the football....... Boy, I might just start slapping random people who don't make noise. (kidding, somewhat)
We really need to think of something to make a change..somehow our voice on this subject needs to go public, there needs to be a whole philosophical change in our fans mentality.
That's sad and pathetic bro.. Give those people (I won't even call them fans) hell. Sometimes I wish I never found these forums because then I wouldn't realize/know how sad a lot of the game attendees ("fans") are.
Here is a nice little article about the ramifications of the upcoming game on Sunday: Patriots at breaking point - BostonHerald.com I would love nothing more than for this Dolphins team to drive a stake into the Patriots' hearts, and crush any playoff hopes they may be entertaining.
I guarantee Bellichick is gonna come up with some lunacy to try to not only beat us but humiliate us (Our Dolphins)! I wouldn't be surprised to see them run the Wildcat with Moss taking snaps or somebody else. All I know is that Bellicheat will want this one badly and try anything possible. That being said, if we play a sound game and improve the kick coverage we should win!
Happens to every team bro, including your Celtics I was there in 07 when we did the Kobe MVP chant in your house. You got us back for that this past Finals of course, but I was in Laker ecstasy when I realized we had a chant going for a Laker in Boston. If only most of the fans were around to see the Celtics-Lakers rivalry in the 80s... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsXPZVPIjxE[/ame]
Time to come full circle again bro. We already took care of Denver who we beat by a FG in 2002, now is our chance to bury NE who beat us nasty at the end of 2002. A victory against NE will really hurt their chances. Come out strong, dominate, smack em in the mouth, and remind which team is the NATURAL leader of the AFC East again!
Very possible, but BB is a defense guy. If anything, he's not sleeping this week and will try to shut us out. He will look like a fool if we kill him with the Wildcat again, that's probably his #1 priority
I don't think NE will run the Wildcat formation, but you can bet your first borne, he will try to stomp it into the ground. He was humiliated the last time we played them. We beat them in their backyard. I think they overlooked us. The will not do that this time. They will want revenge. Cassel is playing a lot better then he was when we played them last time. We need to be sharp on all sides of the ball (esp special teams) if we are going to win. We need to beat the contenders to be one ourselves.
