With the talent we have, I doubt we'd have 2 wins if our playcalling was really that bad. Dan Henning deserves some sort of award for what he's been able to do with this bunch.
Yes, he has shown flashes of brilliance...but both his playcalling and our offense has been inconsistent. The last two games in particular, his playcalling has been bad.
I have a short memory. How many injuries did we have last year, and what was our record? In other words, injuries are part of the game.Nothing to do with luck.Maybe unfortunate(for them). But hey,too bad.Noone used our injuries last year as an excuse.
The game that scares me the most is the last one. I think the Jets have the best team in the division and match up well against us. Not to mention the fact that we haven't exactly lit it up against them for the past several years.
Don't buy into the hype. We've been underdogs and under the radar all year, I'd prefer to leave it that way.
It's Arrowhead. In December. About the only places colder in December are Denver, Cleveland, and Lambeau. And the Chiefs fans, despite the franchise in rebuild mode, are pretty loyal. I think it's going to be a good test for our team ... and I fully expect it to be a cold December afternoon. Yes I have tickets.
Despite what our record says and how carried away some of us fans are getting, this is still a rebuilding season. The players started the season by fully embracing the “underdog” tag and hitting teams from under the radar, so to speak. The past couple of games have shown me that maybe the players are a little uncomfortable when they are not the underdog. They seem a little tense when they are expected to win and this can lead to unforced errors. Despite what we did to the patsies at foxboro, the phins will be underdogs again this week. And for that reason I expect to see the shackles come off and see a little more swagger in our play then we saw against the raiders and the seahawks.
