Boone has taken plays off so many times. When Wells or Pryor would score a TD the linemen are run over to them guess who doesnt? Boone he walks he is the last one, he does not hustle. He was better last season because of Barton, Barton was the leader of the line.

Well fella's wich BCS bowl you wanna go to and who do you wanna play???

An at large bid is very likely so its time to start discusing possible opponents.

Each conference can take only two...The Big 12 champ will face the SEC champ in the title game. Then we have Penn State (barring an upset) likely going to the rose bowl vs the Pac 10 champ. That leaves the ACC champ and the Big East champ. The Orange bowl gets the ACC champ(FSU?) automatically.

Im guessing we get the second place Big 12 team either Tech or Oklahoma, I DO NOT WANNA SEE TEXAS TECH for the record.

    Thoughts?

I'm hoping for Oklahoma. Stoops has been struggling in the bowl games as of recently.

If we don't get a at large bid I hope we play Georgia or Missouri.

Q: What is the difference between Charles Woodson and the Unabomber?

A: The Unabomber actually graduated from M*chigan.

Don't know if you guys are interested or care but top High School RB Jaamal Berry returned to action last Friday after four weeks of sitting. He only had eight carries but for 55 yards.

Also, Dorian Bell ran for 121 yards on 13 carries last Friday. The Friday before last, he ran for 86 yards and 3 touchdowns. He's small for an OLB at 6'0" but we'll see how he plays at OSU. I have no doubt he'll be a very good player for them. What I'm interested in is his NFL future lol.

Finally, Duron Carter had 94 yards and a touchdown in his last game. His size reminds me of Julio Jones. He, Dorian Bell, Jaamal Berry and Jamie Wood are guys I'm looking forward to seeing.

Thanks bro for the updates! I appreciate it very much. Ohio St is going to have a very good LB core. What I wish we would get are the big nasties to clog the middle.

No prob man. I'm pretty ticked off that OSU got Jaamal Berry but as much as I hate the past history between UM and OSU, I don't mind OSU. I like them, that was difficult to say by the way. I don't know if you remember but I posted some Under Armour combine results of Jaamal Berry. I believe he ran a 4.31 forty yard dash and benched 340 lbs. That's one scary guy, especially considering he's only 5'11", 185 pounds. He has very good strength for his size and can score a touchdown every time he touches the ball ala Percy Harvin. He was graded out as the top homerun threat in the nation coming out of High School by several recruiting sites. Watching him, I want to say he reminds me of Steve Slaton but to me, he looks a lot like Frank Gore with a lot more speed. He doesn't seem to hit the whole as quick as Slaton but he has the long speed like Slaton. The similarity that I see in Berry and Gore is that they both are stronger than they're frame indicates and they both play determined as well as both excel in putting moves on defenders. To me, its Slaton's speed with Gore's determination, power and feet.

You guys added John Simon at DT. He needs to gain weight and he's a tweener. Can play both End and Tackle.

Who does your LB core include with Lauraniatis and Freemen leaving?

You have Bryce Brown!!! You can't have all the Dade County kids! :tongue2:

Yup I'm very happy with Berry should be starting by his Sophmore year. I think Saine will transfer out with the way Herron has been playing. Boom has been playing much better as the breather for Wells.

Simon is Hella strong but needs to put on at least 40 pounds to play DT. HE has amazing explosion could be a very powerful DE think Vernon Gholston Strength and first step. I would compare him to Will Smith but I'll wait for him to put on a uni first :wink2:

Well I'm not sure who will be starting MLB next year it should be Sabino. Homan has been playing OLB SLB to be exact and been playing quite well. I don't think Bell will be starting day 1 at WLB. Ohio St has alot of depth at LB but not the kind of Athletes like Bell or Sabino.

I hope we have Bryce Brown. He needs to stay committed to UM and not go to Missouri as I talked about it in the Hurricanes thread. But we do have Lamar Miller. :D

Berry.....is definitely going to be something to watch in my opinion.

40 pounds? Nah, not in my opinion. He's at 274 right now, 20-25 pounds will do the job in my opinion. I hope the comparisons to Gholston stop at strength and first step because anything else and you'll be in for a bust when it comes to the NFL lol.

Ooo. I'm not familiar with Sabino or Homan. Which is the bigger weakness of the defense next year, the Linebacking core or the Secondary?

I think Brown will stay in Miami. Unless he wants to play day 1.

I hope so life without beanie is going to be rough!

Really I'm still going off when he weighed 255. If he is in the 270 range then yeah 20 pounds more would be ideal. Gholston is to muscle bound to really be effective as OLB. I really don't see him succeeding at OLB. But I meant those two comparisons really fit with Simon. He isn't all muscled bound he has the strength but doesn't look like a body builder.

Sabino is a Miami kid :D was by many the number 1 ILB prospect. He is quite the athlete and should be a great one. Homan is playing very good this year kinda surprising he hardly misses a tackle and is always in on a play.

It might be the LB position because were losing 2 seniors. Also have a nice WR class coming in.

We'll see. I hope so. Lamar Miller impresses me just as much so I wouldn't be heart broken if we lost him lol. Miller, Brown, James, Cooper, Mike James and possibly Jakhari Gore the year after. Frank Gore's cousin.

May be even more rough for him if he's a Bengal lol.

Don't you just love saying so and so is a Miami Kid? :D

Well that might be the reason he ends up going elsewhere Miami is stacked.

Shhh don't say that. Well would be better if he did go to the Bungles instead of the Jests.

Yes because its just 1 more player we take away from the U :wink2:. Also I would figure you knew about Sabino considering he was a Miami kid :wink2:

Its been a while since I've updated on Jaamal Berry so I figured I'd give one now. After the talk that Berry would be going to OSU, we forgot that he has only verbally committed. That said, his top ten includes OSU, UF, FSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, Auburn, Clemson, LSU, WVU and BC. He says he's still considering all the other schools. When he went to visit OSU, he came back saying he loved the atmosphere and the "straight-forward" coaches. Also, Palmetto (Berry's HS) faced Killian (Lamar Miller's team; UM recruit) last Friday and Berry had 140 yards rushing on 20 carries. Palmetto lost 27-6 to Killian and Lamar Miller's 202 yards rushing. Finally, Berry ran yet again a 4.31 forty and is officially done with workouts for scouts.
