This is my first mock draft:

    1. Glenn Dorsey, LSU, if this wasn't a bumper crop yr for De's who are athletic, then it would be Vern Gholston.

    2. Derrick Harvey, we need a "X" factor on Defense with JT hitting 35 soon, this is a good year to pick one up.

    2. Gosder Cherilus BC miscast as LT, he is a very tentative pick.

    3. Charles Godfrey, CB Iowa

    4. Hugh Benedict G Newberry= I expect him to eat the fruit of the tree of motivation in Miami

    5. Trent Green....:(

    6. Kellen Davis Te his verstility makes him a pick for us, he can play decent downfield Te, he also can rush the passer as a De, I think he is the ultimate hedge bet and worth the pick.

    7. Jason Shirley DT Fresno State, off the field trouble will drop him down here, he is big and mobile.

    7. Matt Harper FS Oregon, sat for a while this JUCO transfer earned his bread on ST, then started his senior yr and had a All pac 10 type season.

    (2nd 7th rdr a compensatory pick)

    Honorable mentions:

Robert Felton G Arkansas, a 4 yr starter who played every position on the Razorback's line, so he is experienced, and talented.

Brandon Issacs SS SC: Was on his way to the NFL when a shoulder separation sidelined his play, it will take surgery to fix his shoulder (ala Rod Wright) but he played all season
with it, and that is the toughness that impresses.

Now a ILB can knock Gosder out of my #2 pick, but a clear choice at that spot will only emerge during the Combine.

aside from Cherilus (who has really struggled at LT this year for BC) it's not a bad draft. If you want to go OT in round 2, look for someone like Chris Williams,Oniel Cousins, or Tony Hills.

I do think an LB is a must in the draft, whether it be an OLB or ILB

I thought of how bad Gosder played Lt (he was only "passable") and see our need at RT, and taking Gosder we would have some insurance for Carey next yr if it came down to it.

I love that flexiability in an Olineman, the kid from arkansas is interesting.

We have to wait for the combine before a ILB really shines, the field is crowded with no one player shinning the way Willis did last yr.
