    • One Parcells associate expects such a roster overhaul that 35 to 40 players could be gone within two years. . . . Some Dolphins officials who expected Parcells to be gruff have found him instead to be friendly. . . .

Its under the title "Chatter" about midway through the page.

I remember during the last game of the season, the radio announcers said they only expect a handful should be back. They said the only guys who should are the rookies from this year, JT,Zach,Carey,Hadnot,The Allens,Porter,Wright, Holliday, and Crowder

I just forgot to mention Ronnie. As for Crowder, they asked on of the announcers (I belive Mad Dog) and he kind of paused and said "sure keep Crowder"

We've probably gone through just as many players in 2 or 3 years here.

I would like to know when Lil' Nicky Saban will catch the crap that Wanny has caught for poor drafts?

And to be "fair" to our current roster, they haven't yet had a chance to compete for a roster spot, but I do expect there will be a few surprise releases or (hopefully) trades.

Roth, Crowder, Alabi, Toledo, Daniels, Hagan, these are guys who should be moving into their "prime" yet they have done nothing for us...thanks Lil Nicky.....

I don't think it's fair to say that Crowder has done nothing.

The guy has been used primarily as a run stopper on the outside, and averaged almost 100 tackles a season in his first two years in the league. This year, he was asked to fill in at middle linebacker for Zach, which is something he has little experience with.

Is the guy a Pro Bowler? No. But he's definitely a starting-caliber outside linebacker.

We'll see how he does under Parcells and company. Hopefully, he can start generating some turnovers, which has been one of his weak points.

I agree he is overrated but we have to keep some depth on this team (if you're saying to can in). Ronnie should be #1, 2, and 3 on that list.

I'll tell ya Hugo, if the kid could learn to tackle he would be significantly better. Many times this year he was in a position to make a gamechanging tackle for a loss no less and whiff it. And for whatever reason(we stink) it goes on to be a big play a lot of those times. You know... a third and 22.. and we give up 23.

He played the weakside for us when were a good defense and had 1 sack in two years.

I look at lil Nicky's drafts, and the first thing that jumps out at me is the time spent on IR, and the lack of production outside of the #1's, that is a pretty good indicator of a poor draft Hugo..

The ironic things is, Lil Nicky correctly identified our future needs, LB, LT, G, WR, but the guys he drafted haven't filled those needs, which is sort of Nicky's style...

We either get better players, or the players we have get better, I "think" those guys can improve with new coaching, they are like another draft class just waiting to be tapped and put to productive use.

You know Channing Crowder is not stupid. The guy was just joking.

"I have to think he's kidding. Mainly because he apparently scored a 30 on his Wonderlic and also graduated from Florida with a 3.5 GPA. Then again, he also supposedly wrestled wild boars and alligators while in college, so who knows. All I know is that I'm familiar with people who could sleep through four years at Florida and still graduate with a 3.5 GPA."

No, they aren't even really "depth" they haven't played enough to even be considered "Depth".

Alibi, Toledo, Roth was injured this year, Channing disappointed, Hagan is a perennial disappointment, Vickerson and Evans are gone.

Belive it or not, the only player drafted by lil Nicky that played all year for us was Jason Allen, and it took 4 major injuries to get him into the lineup.

Point being, for all the Flack that Wanny catches for bad drafts, Saban deserves more then a little of that same flack sent his way for the same reasons.

At least Wanny got us Vern Carey, Lil Nicky has gotten us..2 starters who produce..

The thing with Crowder that bugs me is that he too often he chases plays and takes bad angles in pursuit. The guy never seems to cut off the play at the point of attack. Yes he gets his tackles I'll give him that but usually it is nine yards down the field. :glare:

To be fair to Lil Nicky, Rodrique Wright has to chalked up to him, though the man never played for him, or was even active for Lil Nicky, but he did draft him.

Roth can comeback and be solid, but at this point, it is in doubt and he may lose out to Q Moses next year.

This is going to be a process. I looked at our current roster and was pleasantly surprised of the young players on our squad. However, many of our young players could not make other clubs. I think we will continure to show high priced older vets the door, and add as many young players on our roster that can be starters or quality depth. If there is one thing this team has lacked is quality depth.

I actually don't expect any of the guys who were drafted by Nick Saban to be cut at this point. The team is short of NFL talent and those guys have it.

Roth, Crowder, Daniels, Alabi, Hagan, Toledo whenver he is healthy (TC), Rodrique Wright should still be around.

The Chris Liweinskis and Lekkerkers and Worrells as well as even Camarillos probably won't make it.

Heck, I'd be surprised if Moses makes the team as DE next year. He seems to be a one trick pony, a rusher with no power. Roth had trouble against the run, but Moses was essentially just a speed bump against the run. Maybe they keep him, but move him to LB...he needs some serious strength training.

We currently have 17 rookies on the roster (inactive included). So presuming we add 6-10 rookies from this upcoming draft and sprinkle in some Vet FA signings I like the direction of the franchise and the youth shift.

Plus 4 of this years rookies will be top 64 picks (baring any trades). That can be 4 potential 1st stringers.
