Sporano said he was surprised to see Long come back. He said he didn't have any information on Toyota. I'm watching the post game show now......
Updates: - Word is that it's an ACL / possible MCL tear for Camarillo. He's out for the season. - Long has a high ankle sprain and will probably be questionable for next week. - Crowder has a busted lip that needed three stitches.
Finfangirl in a chat said she had a contact in the training room. MRI on Camarillo tomorrow, but the trainers suspected an ACL and MCL tear. Jake Long had a high ankle sprain - apparently not too terrible as he played on it after getting some freezing, and Crowder had three stitches from a busted lip courtesy of Matt "pulls hair like a girl" Light.
I hope this is just rumor. Camarillo could wind up missing more than just the rest of this season if it's a tear.
I just read an article and Camarillo said its nothing too serious Dolphins finally get taste of injuries -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com
I know someone who has talked to don thomas personally and he said the day before they put him on IR he was ready to go. They might have stuck him there as a precautionary measure.
I'll be surprised if Camarillo's isn't an ACL or something similar. At the game, during the TV timeouts, Camarillo looked to be in a lot of pain. Writhed a good bit. Head up, then back down in pain. My first reaction was "that's what guys do when they tear their ACL".
As for Jake Long, I noticed in the second quarter during a play near the goalline, it looked like he might have gotten leg whipped or slightly rolled up on. Might not have been the case, but it seemed to at the time like he might have gotten hurt on that play.
not worried about long, camarillo on the other hand i am worried about. hope it isn't what it looked like
Well he ended up having surgery on it. Lisfranc IIRC. He talked like it was just a twisted ankle, nothing major. But I think he's just a tough SOB.
You could tell that Camarillo was done for the year. I am not a doctor, but I have seen enough ACL tears in my life to know the signs of one and the pain people express when having one happen to them. Greg's was straightout of the textbook. Quite frankly, if this doesn' get Wilford active, than nothing will and we should cut him. My main concern is for Jake Long at this point. I hope he can go next week. Continuity on the line, even if they have been playing sub-par is key. And Channing will be fine physically, but I wouldn't be surprised if the league makes him sit next week's game out.
I don't see why Crowder should get suspended. Light ripped his helmet off. Crowder to come back at him, but nothing worse than guys do all the time. Light then grabbed him by the hair, and punched him three times. Crowder should, and probably will, get fined. Light should get fined AND suspended.
LOL at the Nick name Toyota. Did I come up with that today or has it been used before this? Anywho, Long said he should be fine, and I personally think Camary is out for a while if not a year.
Yep, and I'm sure Long will go thru an MRI to be safe but he did come back in and play so at least it looks like he might be fine.
Not everyone is the same though.. Last year we seen Renaldo Hill screaming in agony... My god that was horrible to witness, I felt bad for the guy. Then we seen Ronnie Brown walking and smiling... I hope Camarillo is OK, but I'm not very optimistic about this one... It's tough to lose such a bright spot on our squad for the season, we can only hope that he's OK.
isn't that actually he exact opposite? don't guys who pop an acl usually trot off the field? i think for an injury like that, pain is actually a good thing, because it could mean sprain or strain moreso than tear
