Glad to see that this sounds like it's been squashed already. Hopefully no repeats of this in the future. http://blogs.nfl.com/2008/11/25/porter-apologizes-to-teammates-sparano/
joey needs to get past this, and get 3 sacks sunday.....make sparano forget alllllll about it......maybe a INT also?
No way was Porter going to be able to get off without not only apologizing to Sparano but also addressing the team and apologizing. Kudos for J Peezy for manning up and admitting he was wrong.
Yeah this is pretty huge. Glad he manned up. Also very glad he apologized to the whole team. Thats pretty big IMO.
that's cool, at least JP didn't have to be called out for doing that, things would have gotten really ugly then and maybe beyond repair as long as he was Dolphin. Now go out and kick some Ram tail next Sunday JP.
This should quell the issue. Sparano was able to keep the respect and authority of the staff without having to turn this into a circus with a suspension. Kudos to both Sparano and Porter. Porter NEVER would have offered this peace leaf to Cam IMO and it's a testament to the respect I feel Sparano has gained from even the most free willed players like Porter.
Love it, any and every man makes mistakes, but only real men own up to them and apologize. This shows me 1-Despite any transgressions, ultimately JP respects and believes in the coaching staff, and 2-He's not as prideful and arrogant as I thought, he's just a hot-headed competitor who is good at talking trash
I'm sure he earned some back from Sparano and the team too. Gotta say i didn't expect an apology from him.
This just shows you what happens when guys are playing for a coach they respect. You think he would've done this last year? I can think of a few choice words he probably would've had for cam. None of them nice. Porter respects Sparano.
While this doesnt make everything better it certainly was a step in the right direction. It was the best thing he could do at that point. So therefore, i applaud him but still think he is a moron most of the time.
what exactly is this new 'Sicking of balls', is this some sort of motivational ploy into getting him to go out and kill the rams.. VT???
nah, just a gross reference to the movie "stand by me". this is how a real team handles their business. a pleasure to see.
This says a lot about Sparano as a coach. The players respect him and don't want to let him down. We have one hell of a coach
