Both are going to be great players in this league for a long time, I am very happy we took Jake though.

Should be interesting to watch these two go up against each other on sunday. Im thrilled that we got Jake when we did, and it ended up well since we ended up getting merling and langford too.

Jake Long is the superior player of the two at this point.

hes a good player, but i dont think hed fit on our defense. Hes also the type of player that needs playmakers around him for him to be a factor. Otherwise, hes just a "guy". In time though, when the Rams will eventually build a respectable team, he will be a good player, barring injury of course.

Once they get a Head Coach and a new scouting department as well as a front office, yeah I agree.

i dont think theyre that bad of a team. they have role players, but they lack playmakers and a direction. Scott Linehan was a great Xs and Os guy, but i dont think he could implement his own system on an entire team beyond just the offense, a la Cam Cameron. Jim Hastlett is the same way but defensively-speaking. Hes the defensive version of Cam Cameron/Scott Linehan. Good xs and os guy, bad head coach. His offenses were always vanilla and his defenses, while good, would flame out. Pretty similar to the Wannestedt Dolphins if you will, the mentality that a average/below average offense with a bend but dont break defense would somehow get you to the promiseland didnt turn out so well for those type of coaches.

Id say the Rams would be better off getting an entire new front office/coaching staff as well.

Richmond Webb deserves more credit around the league than what he has gotten. He was a very dominant LT for this organization for years protecting Marino. Hopefully, Long will turn out to be that same LT for Henne and Pennington.
