I'm putting the rivalry aside for one weekend. I want to see Nick Saban lose. Go Gators. Ugh, I feel so dirty

Just think of it as more of rooting against Saban than for the Gators. I am fine with that! :wink2:

Glad to have you back brother. That hollowness in your heart will eventually swell to nothing but fond memories of your grandfather.

Your absence speaks volumes to me of one who knows and understands LOVE! I believe that families are forever.

On a side reel to that, so are Dolphins and Gators brothers and sisters...well... perhaps, in the grand scheme of things, so are the others that haven't been enlightened. :wink2:

Go Gators! Go destroy the Rammer Jammers. Go take another National Championship.

 Hey guys & gals, here's a quote from Gary Danielson, while being interviewed by someone, I believe on a Bama call in show about the upcoming game.

It looks like there's an outside shot for Tim Tebow to win the Heisman again.
Danielson: "Outside? I don't think it's outside. I think he's one of two guys. He's right there. If he has a great game in this one, you better have a great one against him. I've got to say the stats in the Big 12 are like pesos to me. Everybody's got stats there. It's 300 pesos for half a gallon of milk."

Hey Motion, glad to see you back, good luck with your Gators against Alabama. Things will work themselves out in an SEC type of way to make sure you end up in the National Championship. You deserved it. Best of luck to the Gators!

I'm watching College Football Now on NFLN and they're talking about how UF is going to have trouble getting past Andre Smith. I'm not sure if the analysts have watched tape on Andre Smith but if your defensive ends are quick off the line and they watched tape on Smith, they'll have a successful day against him. He's not the quickest guy off the line and quick pass rushers will give him trouble.

Andre Smith is the best OL in college football. I think the Gators will have alot of trouble with him. However we just need to hold our ground. Bama is not going to throw on us, But they will run us to death. I think we put 8 in the box and make them beat us thru the air

I disagree, I don't think he's the best one out there. In my opinion, I don't think he's the natural knee bender that you want to see. He bends at his waist which gives him less explosion and he's the last one off the line (as previously mentioned) in a three point stance. A quick pass rusher will tear him apart and kill his Quarterback due to that. I'll take Eugene Monroe or Michael Oher over him. JMO.

I think Dline pressure in the middle will be a bigger issue. The outside speed will help us but we are a bit undersized at DT so the inside running game will be a factor unless Torrey Davis' light suddenly clicks on. Marsh should be back to 100% so that will help. Inside running game is really my only concern on defense. Spikes has the potential to have a huge game and our secondary should end up with a pick or 3. :D Offensively I can't wait to test their secondary in the passing game. I know the inside running game could possibly be tough with Cody, but I also think he's a tad overrated.

    Is it Saturday yet? :D

It should be very interesting to see what happens on Saturday. The Florida Gators have played some very good offensive lines this year (Miami, LSU, Georgia) but it will be interesting to see how the Gators play. I think that we just put 8 in the box and test them in the passing game. I think we win that battle.

On offense I think like Motion said we test their secondary and see if they can handle all our WR's. However I expect us to run the ball and we usually don't run alot to the inside so we should not have to worry about Cody on sweeps and options. It will be a great game....

    :confused1:

Have to disagree with that, we run inside too much sometime IMO. The read option play is ran at least 15-20 times a game, not to mention Tebow's runs. Granted when the backs get through the line they sometimes break it outside afterwards but we definitely run inside a good bit.

IMO the key will be whether we can stop their ground game .We are thin in the DL because of injuries .

If can force them to throw we will be OK.

Offensively we need to get on top quickly .That will take Bama off their game plan .

Well we will have to disagree. I think we run some read plays and some other plays, But the majority of the runs are to the outside. However we will see on Saturday

Our big guys match up well with their big guys. Our speed, on both sides of the ball, IMO, is unequaled in college football.

I don't think they can beat us if we limit the mistakes. IF we stink it up early...all bets are off.

I agree its unlikely to happen .Bradford has an easy game vs Missouri and he will get a better opportunity to showcase himself.

Tebow would have to have the best game of his life to overcome that

You and me both. However we have played some good defensive teams and handled them. I like our chances (Plus on that turf does not hurt either)

I totally agree even tho he has a couple of nice WR's

They said similar things about a Sophmore winning the award. I think he has a better chance than most people think if Florida wins on Sat.

Sorry, a bad attempt at a joke. I always forget a lot of the people on here are younger and might not remember the song.

My joke was based on the late 70s/early 80s Tommy Tutone smash hit 867-5309, Jenny; I just added my area code. Basically, the girl's name and number were on a bathroom wall, and the song was about wanting that girl, who was Jenny. Not a real number that I know of... but you might try it anyway. :wink2:

Anyhow, go Gators! Time's getting closer.

 When you are my age, you can go back to the times of "Donovan" for songs of "Jennifer".

    JENNIFER JUNIPER
    Donovan

Jennifer Juniper lives upon the hill,
    Jennifer Juniper, sitting very still.
Is she sleeping ? I don't think so.
Is she breathing ? Yes, very low.
Whatcha doing, Jennifer, my love ?
Jennifer Juniper, rides a dappled mare,
Jennifer Juniper, lilacs in her hair.
Is she dreaming ? Yes, I think so.
Is she pretty ? Yes, ever so.
Whatcha doing, Jennifer, my love ?
I'm thinking of what it would be like if she loved me.
You know just lately this happy song it came along
And I like to somehow try and tell you.
Jennifer Juniper, hair of golden flax.
Jennifer Juniper longs for what she lacks.
Do you like her ? Yes, I do, Sir.
Would you love her ? Yes, I would, Sir.
Whatcha doing Jennifer, my love ?
Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper.
Jennifer Juniper vit sur la colline,
    Jennifer Juniper assise trs tranquille.
Dort-elle ? Je ne crois pas.
Respire-t-elle ? Oui, mais tout bas.
Qu'est-ce que tu fais, Jenny mon amour ?
Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper.

    Go Gators! Go destroy Bammer!

    Awesome vid...

The thread at gatorsports is VERY interesting. All of us as Dolphin fans can relate, but wow. Would be funny to see Satan jump ship ALREADY. My only problem, why won't he leave the SEC??!!

    Attention PS3 owners:

A premium Florida Gators XMB theme is available in the PlayStation store. It is so sweet.

There is a picture of the Marching band in the stands from a couple of seasons ago. Too bad it doesn't show the sax section. You would of saw yours truly. Go Gator Band!!!

This is a very intriguing game for me. I know Satin is capable of coaching up his players and they will be ready to play. I know the Gators are not the finesse team they are being accused of being. We are pretty stout on both sides of the line (I believe I've read where we are in fact bigger than Bama's OL). If Percy doesn't play, I don't believe that will affect us that much. I'm curious to see how UM schemes against Bama IF Percy is a no go. I just don't think Bama can hang with our overall speed. BTW, I've heard that Ingram might make his return this game. Go Gators!
