What Happens in Vegas with Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. It had funny parts in it, but it also had it's chick flick moments.

Hated it. Just caught 'Get Smart' it was alright but about 1 hour and 45 minutes too long.

Quantum of Solace. I enjoyed it. Very fast paced and action packed. Maybe not quite what Casino Royale was. But I don't think it could have been considering its a sequel that picks up right where Casion Royale left off. I'll put it this way, if the rest of the Bond movies from now on are as good as Quantum of Solace the franchise is in good shape.

    Pride and Glory:

Good movie, very well done. As usual great acting from Norton. Good sub plots. Typical cop suspense flick, but does not take anything away from it.

    Saw 5 :

Surprisingly was ok, I thought it would suck, but it wasnt THAT bad, but wasnt THAT good either. After awhile you forget which one your watching. They are all the same, really, no difference except new traps, etc.

    Soul Men:
To me it felt like a newer version of Blues Brothers, and it had its parts, you could def. feel the chemistry between Jackson and Mac. Wasn't overly impressed with the flick though.

I thought it was funny. I laughed pretty hard at several scenes but I can tell why the movie didnt do as well as other Mike Myers flicks.

It had alot of esoteric humor in it similar to Family Guy and alot of the schtick was over the top.

Mike Myers was funny, overall the movie was lacking. It involved 2 things most Americans care very little about, Indian culture and Hockey... and a **** loving French Canadian... guess that was 3 things.

Speed Racer -- As much as I didn't think I was going to like it, it was actually pretty entertaining. They nailed the 60s anime live action theme, but what really sold it were the earnest performances. That, and Christina Ricci is hot. :wink2:

Yeah I just watched that he other day, as well.
I was kind of disappointed by it. I guess I was expecting it to be too much like the TV show....the characters I mean.
The "element of surprise" with the telephone was a Max Smart moment as were a few others. The Agent 99 character was too different, though.

Wow, I highly recommend this WWII movie. It's about a young boy whose father takes on an important position at a Nazi work camp and it is a hell of a story. Great characters, and an ending that will floor you. I highly recommend it.

Damn bro I wish I could feel the same way.

The way you feel is why I went to go see it and instead I came out of the theater very disappointed.

I just felt that they were all trying to be funny instead of just being naturally funny (which they all can be).

Just saw Triumph of the Spirit with Willem Dafoe...

Great WWII drama movie based on the real story of Greek olympic boxer Salamo Arouch and how he had to box others in front of the Nazi's (to the death basically as if you lose you die one way or another) in order to survive the war in the Auschwitz concentration (death) camp.

Just saw a whole slew of movies in the past week and a half.

    Tropic Thunder - 5.5/10
-I was personally quite disappointed. Thought Robert Downey Jr. was amazing, but didn't laugh as much as I expected to. But I expected this to be the funniest movie of the year, and I'm pissed I never saw it in the theater where I would have enjoyed it more. I'll give it a second chance though.

    Snow Angels 5.5/10
-Depressing little indie drama with Sam Rockwell, Kate Beckinsale, and one of my personal favorites; Nicky Katt. It was directed by David Gordon Green whom friends have been hyping as this great independent director. He went on to direct Pineapple Express, which I still haven't seen. It's about a bunch of dysfunctional people in this rural northern town. Good performances, but despite the subject matter it failed to move me very much one way or the other.

    Baby Mama 7.5/10
-I'm embarrassed to say I found this to be much funnier upon first viewing than Tropic Thunder. But then again I'm someone who thinks Tina Fey and Amy Poeler can do no wrong. The same way I used to feel about Jack Black and Ben Stiller.

    Across the Universe 4.5/10
-I rented this through Blockbuster's netflix program back in March, and finally was in the mood to watch it. Could have been brilliant. But it wasn't. It was never more than the sum of it's parts, which was just a series of trippy music videos with people other than the Beatles singing the Beatles.

    Get Smart 6/10
-Again, I'm embarrassed to say it, but I watched this right after Tropic Thunder and actually laughed out loud more. I've really got to give that movie another shot. And again, Steve Carell is still working at the top of his game. I just wish he'd do more 40 Year Old Virgin's which suit his style than these cheesy sequels and re-makes.

    In Bruges 8/10
-Saved the best for last. Like most people, I can't stand Colin Farrell , but based upon recommendations in this thread I gave it a shot yesterday. I was really impressed. Best movie I've seen in a long time. Probably since The Dark Knight.

Quantum of Solace. Great Bond flick, true to the Casino Royale mythos. No gadgets, no BS just tons of action and intrigue, and hot wimmens.

Saw 5 - It was OK. More of tellin of how things happened in the previous films then any thing new. It was good to know how things happened in earlier movie but that was more then half of Saw 5. Wished it had more new stuff in it.

How was that? I loved Taledega Nights, along the same lines?

I just watched "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and laughed more than I have in a long time, it was great. The dude who played her boyfriend stole the show.
