    I still think they need to get his kickoff leg stronger in the off-season. He has to be able to kickoff into the endzone on a regular basis to help our special teams out. To me, it would be a big difference maker. I think too many people totally "pooh-pooh" special teams but forcing a team to start at the 20 each and everytime (Mare's specialty) did incredible things for our defense.

    Im happy for him, the guy pretty much came from no where and deserves it. There are many aspects of his game in which he still can improve on which is exciting to think about.

    True dat. It's not Carpenter's fault that our kickoff coverage is so bad, but a stronger kicker would mask the problem to some extent.
