    Yeah Pitt is 10-3 and the Ravens are 8-4 (before tonight;s game). I am more worried about the Ravens than Pitt.

    d-1

    Congratz Dolphin Fans. Impressive win. This division is still up in the air, and may well be until the last games of the season.

    6 boards Ozzy?

    You Sir, are a total Phins Ho.:lol::tongue2::up:

    A good win, but every win is a good win, but longterm, no injuries, our newbie Guards didn't get Pennington killed, and we won a away game.

    All in all, a good day.

    Actually its more like 15 boards but I only post at 3 regularly. The others are Dolphins sites where the owners have asked me to post my camp reports and I'll stick around to answer some questions or just read other posts.

    I am a Phins ****, cause im free... :lol:

    I loved the win. For having two Gaurds who were not starters to begin the season, I thought they played better as the game wore on. The defensive line got pressure late, and the Lb's stayed with their assignments. Will Allen saved the game with that pick in the endzone. He deflated them imo and man that was perfect coverage.

    I'm very happy with the win.

    Qb = A
    Rb's = A
    OL = B+
    Wr's/TE's = B

    DL = B
    Cb's = A
    Lb's = A

    ST's B-

    There are treatments for that now..:wink2:

    At least you admit it!:knucks:

    True that, IMO, Lee Evans needs a new address though.

    And Pennington just reads defenses so quickly, he covers up for poor Oline play, and how strange is it that the dropsies have mostly disappeared..hmm..

    Disagree on the Oline, Stroud and Co. are not the same line, earlier in the year they were much much better, today Satele and Ndukwe were handling him, the last couple of games Satele went invisible man on us.

    LB's deserve an b, the Defensive Backs an A, Y Bell sealed the deal, Will Allen had the key play with the Int.

    DL..C...maybe even a D+, no pressure, no tipped passes even though Losman is a shorter Qb.

    Disagree again my friend, Carpenter had his streak broken, he also had to make a tackle to save a TD, Fields was "okay" and Ginn never came close to breaking one.

    Granted the Bills have one of the best ST units, but skill on skill, Ginn should have done more if we want to take the team up a notch.

    ST "D", just on the Carpenter miss.

    Gotta agree with Ozzy on this one. You have to grade on a curve, and being that Buffalo has one of the best special teams in the league, there's no way that Miami's unit deserves a "D."

    Remember that prior to Carpenter's squib kick fail and missed field goal, he helped build the Dolphins lead with 3 consecutive field goals including a career-long 50 yarder. Fields also chipped in with a couple of punts that pinned the Bills back inside their own 15.

    And most importantly, we made McKelvin and Parrish non-factors in the return game, which is no easy task.

    Carpenter had to make a TD saving tackle.

    That is beside the point, a Unit should receive a lower "grade" when they fail to do what they are suppose to do, each unit starts a game at 100%, they only can move backwards as mistakes and penalties happen.

    Oh I was not overly excited about the offensive line play, but for them having two Gaurds that are not really supposed to be starters, I probably gave them a grade higher. I did not like the run blocking at first, and especially from the left side, but the unit pass protected ok. The Rb's also made their grade higher by running very tough and getting out on the edge for some good gains. Satele also had a great seal off block that sprung Ricky up the gut for a big gainer. Some thanks also go to Pennington for getting rid of the ball quick and moving out of the way even quicker on some plays.

    The last drive in the 4th quarter you could see the push the offensive line was getting, and that was very good to see.

    The D-line was getting good pressure late in the game, but it was the way they stayed in their lanes against a very good Rb, in Lynch that made me give them a nice grade. They took up the space they were supposed to and the Lb's filled the gaps rather nicely.

    As for Special Teams, they held a very good return unit to no Td's. Almost gave one up yes, but it was Carpainter and the ST's unit once again giving the Dolphins 9 crucial points on the scoreboard. One being a nice 50 yarder. Miami also pinned Billy deep a few times, and had some good hangtime on punts.

    No way would I give the ST's a D but I do see your points.

    Carpenter did make a key tackle, but that's just it, he made the tackle.

    Moreover, when you look at the entire body of work, our coverage units absolutely negated Buffalo's two top-tier returners (they averaged 5 yards per punt return and just under 20 yards per kick return). Was the special teams unit perfect? Absolutely not. But to say that they deserve a "D" on a day when the punter pinned the opposing team inside its own 15 twice, the kicker hit 3 of 4 field goals including a career-long 50 yarder, and the coverage units shut down a very dangerous return duo is a bit too harsh in my opinion.

    I'd give 'em a B.
