Miami Dolphins "8 reasons they beat up on the Buffalo Bills" - Realfootball365.com In honor of that eighth win, here are eight good reasons why Miami was able to walk away from Toronto with a key December victory: Read carefully, and you'll spot the props to Samphin! Let me know what you think of the piece as well. Thanks!
The Monday must read. The Bills do not seem interested in feeding the ball to Lee Evans anymore, he probably will be moving on in the offseason.
While I did enjoy the read........I think Penny has been the BEST free agent pickup this off season. Polite is a good player, and fun to watch but...............
Thanks for the kind words! Great point regarding Pennington, and actually, I just realized that the entire phrasing of the Polite passage was off. Polite was not an offseason acquisition. He was signed in October. What I meant to say in that passage (and the article has since been updated to reflect this) is that Polite is arguably the best unheralded free agent acquisition. Thanks for spotting this and helping me refine my take!
Nice article. Didn't realize Pennington was perfect in the second half. I am so glad that the Jets released him and we picked him up.
Good piece as always Hugo... I just realized that every expert believed that the weather would have hampered Miami somewhat... But if they were right, the dome stadium should have been more of an advantage to the Bills, if they were to pass (to Evans, Reed, Parish)... Wonder if Edwards would have had a better day than JP... But I am glad we never found out...
Nice piece Hugo. I agree with you on polite. Im starting to wonder when Cramer gets the axe. I love what polite brings us. He's done a great job in short yardage situations for us. He's picked up several key first downs, including a couple on 4th downs if I recall.
Unfortunately, he isn't going anywhere. I think he signed one of the richest contracts for a wideout in NFL history earlier this year. edit: Four year extension through 2012 worth 37.25 Million. He is staying put... Lee Evans edit: and I enjoyed the article Hugo. Even if you hadn't mentioned me!
Thanks again for all of the kind words! Samphin - agree about Evans, and I don't think that the front office would be willing to part with draft picks to get him and his inflated contract. I'd say that Coles is more likely (and by "likely" I mean less unlikely, whatever that means).
Made me laugh, prolly because I actually "got it" and felt like Professor Irwin Cory for an instant. This is a good one Hugo, I enjoyed it a lot. I liked that you gave attention to Lou Polite and his touches. I think this guy is money, and I liked that Coach rewarded him.
I was one of those who was worried about the Lossman to Evans connection. Boy was I thrilled to be wrong!
I don't think he should, he hasn't had much of an opportunity yet and he has good hands (That goal-line TD he had). Polite is doing good though, I could see us even throwing out a 2-FB/2-TE set for the running game!
I wouldn't. Cramer's an H-Back and Polite is the classic Full Back. I'd rather keep both on the roster.
Probably will come down to special teams prowess. If Cramer is a gamer (it rhymes!) on special teams, then he'll have a spot on the roster.
