C'mon folks...How can you not be ecstatic about 10-6 after last years' fiasco season ??? Give me a break.... We aren't even supposed to be in the race, and here we have a chance, albeit a slim one, to actually win the race....

We still have to take care of our own business. SF isn'tgoing to be a pushover and neither is KC....and then there's the jests...a team we can't seem to beat even when we are the better team....and certainly, we are not a better team, talent-wise, to the jests...as difficult as that is to say, or type in this case....

So, be happy with 10-6, in or not in the playoffs....

Personally I hated being made fun of by everyone during our 1-15 season. It sucked a lot. I swear, I wouldn't go an entire day without someone making a joke about the Dolphins... But this year? Definitely not going to happen with all these Packer fans depressed about the loss of Brett Favre and them likely being under .500 for the season.

If you bothered to read any of my previous posts you will see exactly what my stance is. Its not spin. I have stated and stand by my believe that the 1-15 season is exactly what put us in this 8-6 w/3 to play position. I firmly believe that the 1-15 season is exactly what this franchise needed to get itself back on the Championship road and yes, I firmly believe thats exactly what will happen because of it.

You all can take your beloved 10-6 without making the playoffs mindset and boast you your friends that "I root for a winning team and laugh at the doormats, blah, blah, blah"...Me, nah, I am man enough to say, yup my franchise was 1-15 but we will be back on the mountain top and remain their for many seasons to come. The 1-15 shook up this franchise from top to bottom. It breathed new life into it. I am grateful for that.

All of my posts have been IMHO.:pointlol::hi5:

Actually I've read all your posts and I'm still confused as hell. The question of this thread was what is worse, a 1-15 season or going 10 - 6 and missing the playoffs. So how about we forget about last season and what last season or any other season may or may not have led to.

Here is my question for you. Next season, or any other future season for that matter would you rather the Dolphins go 1-15 or 10 - 6 (while not making the playoffs)? Simple question. If you say that you would rather us go 1-15 than 10-6 in a future season knowing that neither will guarantee what will happen the next season, then you are either desperate to hang onto a ridiculous (IMO) stance or you are an illogical fan. 10 wins > 1 win. It's simple math. 1st grade math. If you are a Dolphins fan wins make you happy. Losses make you sad. More wins = better.

Umm being 1-15 knowing your team wil not be in the playoff team chase for awhile. But we are so I would rather miss the Playoffs because we are actually competiting for some thing.

Plus you know how much stuff you hear going 1-15

I looked at the question from a different angle....sorry if you dont understand or agree.

I say the best thing that happended to this franchise since the last Championship was our 1-15 record last season.

If you cant see or understand that I am sorry, but its clear as day to me.

I would hope our Franchise is never in the position again to need a 1-15 season to do what should have been done.....that I agree with! 100%.:wink2:

That makes a little more sense to me, not that I agree. I have also held the opinion that it's a good thing that Cam didn't do just enough to save his job and Mueller's job. They needed to be held accountable for that mess. I still have an awful hard time referring to 1-15 as one of the high points of this franchise, but to each his own. :hi5:

It certainly is. A team with no-name & blue-chip WR's at best and an inconsistent running game in range of the playoffs is definitely overachieving.

Which is why IMO, Sparano deserves Coach of the yr.

I will put it this way...

My original prediction for this season was 10-6. (yes I will keep harping on it since 95% of you said otherwise)

It based that on the fact that last season what I saw was more of a coaching problem than anything. We lost what...6 games by about 3 pts. which would've put us at say 7-9...and could've come out 8-8 with some luck for that 8th game.

I didn't see the chasm so many of you saw.

Now, had we kept the same staff, sure, we'd surely become the Lions.

    But we didn't.

I think everyone screaming bloody hell last season saying it was the worst in history was just a bunch of media haters stoking the fire because its the DOLPHINS (whom usually beat everyone during their history except for the Texans it seems) so they were rubbing our noses in it just like they say we rub the 1972 team in theirs. But why is no one with the same hype about the Lions this year? Why didn't the same hype hover around say...the 1-15 Jets back in '96???

Its because we are the DOLPHINS.

Although there might not be any realistic difference in going 1-15 or 10-6 should you miss the playoffs (because in the end your both at home watching TV) there's a 'technical' difference.

Psychologically, it means that this season we had a shot. A chance to do something. Maybe next season will suck, maybe it wont, but this season, this year we had a shot. Which last season at 1-15 we had no shot to do anything.

So I'd take 10-6 and no playoffs always over 1-15 because you never know if 10-6 will finally get you into the playoffs and suddenly your only a few games away from the Superbowl.

I didn't have the confidence you did, but I definitely saw it as a possibility. My reasoning was I really didn't think our defense was anywhere near as bad as it appeared. It's just that the putrid offensive product we put on the field week in and week out, especially when Beck was at the helm, didn't give the defense any room to breath. I scream if from the mountain tops every season - A good offense can make an average defense look great, but an awful offense can make even the best defense look horrible.
