Colston and Evans ended up killing my dream of a 2nd championship in 3 years but the other guys certainly failed to do their part as well. Good luck to all who are still alive.

Aright so I survived the first round but I have a really tough decision for next week at RB.

Do I bench Slaton against Ten for Sammy Morris @ Oak?

I'd also like to pick up somebody to replace Cotchery, but thats virtually impossible unless I land Deion Branch.

I wouldn't bench Slaton ever. Certainly not for the RB carousel at NE.

I duno. Their only using Faulk and Morris now and Morris is the clear-cut goal-line back. Oakland is god-awful against the run too.

Slaton is the clear-cut main back. I never bench a main back for a goal-line back ever. The Titans can be run on since Jacksonville and the Jets showed that. With a playoffs berth clinched, they'll be taking things a bit more easy. Houston has more to prove in this matchup and they'll be more hungrier. In addition, you gotta figure Slaton will get reps in the passing game because Tennessee can give up around 20-30 yards there.

    oh man.
so i was down 50ish points going into tonight with delhomme, deangelo williams and carolina's D.
i make all but 1.08 points up before the last tampa drive. so all i need is a pick, and garcia throws 2 that should have been picks. one that was called an INT and gets overturned, and one that could have been an INT but was called incomplete and they didn't bother checking because it was 4th down.

so i lose, by 1.08 points. BAH.

I hate RBBC from a fantasy standpoint but Carolina's just ridiculous. Was getting scared that DeAngelo was losing to many reps to Stewart until he started ripping off big runs late.

Yea thats true that Tenn might take this game easy. I heard Van den Bosch might not play too so that would certainly help. Slaton needs more passes dammit.

God Dunn did not have a good night for me.

Well..I've drawn a first rd. playoff game w/ Desides Doomsayers in the "Phinmates" league. I have Forte, C.Johnson, Slaton, and Westbrook. One has to sit, who should it be??

ps. I don't expect Desides to give me an honest answer, lol.

I like Johnson and Westbrook. Cleveland and Houston's run D leaves little to be desired. And you can be sure Titans will run more to avoid the pass rush by Williams.

It's fantasy playoff time... which of course means that I am suddenly scared to death of the teams that got me qualified in the first place. I have horrible matchups this week, both for my players and against particular owners in my leagues. I have zero idea who to start on a couple of teams.

    Team 1:
1 QB: Tony Romo vs Giants, Matt Cassel @ Raiders
3 WR: Larry Fitzgerald vs Vikings, Eddie Royal @ Panthers, Marques Colston @ Bears, Santana Moss @ Bengals, Antonio Bryant @ Falcons
2 RB: Michal Turner vs Bucs, Steve Slaton vs Titans, Marion Barber vs Giants, Tim Hightower vs Vikings

Right now, I have Romo, Fitzgerald/Royal/Bryant, and Turner/Slaton.

    Team 2:
1 QB: Kurt Warner vs Vikings, Aaron Rodgers @ Jaguars
3 WR: Roddy White vs Falcons, Anquan Boldin vs Vikings, Andre Johnson vs Titans, Marques Colston @ Bears, Kevin Curtis vs Browns
2 RB: LaDainian Tomlinson @ Chiefs, Chris Johnson @ Texans, Clinton Portis @ Bengals, Jonathan Stewart vs Broncos

    I've got Warner, White/Boldin/Johnson, and Tomlinson/Johnson.

    Team 3 (PPR):
1 QB: Brett Favre vs Bills, Jason Campbell @ Bengals
2 WR: Larry Fitzgerald vs Vikings, Roddy White vs Bucs, Wes Welker @ Raiders, Santana Moss @ Bengals, Antonio Bryant @ Falcons
2 RB: Marshawn Lynch @ Jets, LaDainian Tomlinson @ Chiefs, Clinton Portis @ Bengals, Tim Hightower vs Vikings
    1 WR/RB

Thinking of Campbell, Fitzgerald/White, Tomlinson/Portis, and Welker in the flex spot.

    Help!

One reason why I tanked my win-loss record to get a better matchup for both weeks.

    Team 1:
QB - Romo. Giants could be winding down before the playoffs. Raiders may suck but it's their run D that sucks with Asomugha manning the CB spot. Believe it or not, but they're ranked 9th in passing yards allowed just one spot below the Giants. Cowboys may not have Barber so it's all up to the pass.
WR - Fitz (never bench), Colston, and I actually like Bryant. He's getting good looks in the Galloway role, on a hot streak, and they aren't getting as much with Dunn. Moss is worth a look against the Bengals.
RB - Turner (if MNF didn't convince you otherwise). I'd go with Slaton unless Barber is healthy.

    Team 2:
    QB - Warner
WR - White (though against Carolina), Boldin, Johnson. No brainer.
RB - LT and Johnson unless Portis is 100%

    Team 3:
QB - I'd actually go with Campbell with Favre in a slump.
    WR - Fitz, White
RB - LT, Portis. Again, check on their status and can swap Portis with Lynch.
    Flex - Welker.

I'd go Rodgers since I love his matchup a bit more. I'd consider S-Jax since Slaton's matchup is bad and Seattle's been bad defensively.

One thing to consider might be Tenn D. Van Den Bosch is out and Haynesworth is questionable.

They've won without Vanden Bosch, not a big deal. It's Haynesworth who makes that defense tick.

Yeah, but I'm saying it's not worth flipping out if Vanden Bosch misses time. Worry about Haynesworth. If he doesn't play, time to look at the free agent defenses.

Warner, but you can't go wrong with either choice. You've got 2 of the top 5 fantasy QBs right there.

As for Slaton/Jackson, I guess I'd play Jackson, but I really don't like the idea of sitting Slaton right now, given how well he's playing. Still, that Seahawks D is terrible and Jackson might finally be healthy. Again, though, not a bad choice to have at all.

Here's an ironic scenario for you guys:

Due to incredibly horrible health/luck to my intended qbs (Hasslebeck, Bulger, Greise, Frerotte) I am left to chose between the best available - both now on my roster.

    Chad Pennington & Shaun Hill

I've been winning with ol' Penny at the helm every week for quite a while now, but this week I am at an impasse. I win the league if I run the table. Any advice for the next couple weeks?

    GG

  33. phunwin

phunwin Happy kids are Dolfans. Luxury Box

It depends on your setup. If your league punishes INTs heavily, then start Pennington. Otherwise, start Hill this week. The Phins pass defense isn't fabulous, and the Niners pass D has been playing well. I also think Hill's going to throw it about 40 times today, with Gore out.

So I made the playoffs. Yippie! However, my three RBs are Frank Gore, Brandon Jacobs, and Addia. All three are out today. Awesome......I picked up Choice and Foster, and i have Hightower on the bench. Any other RBs that could be FA's that might be better plays then these three?
