I dont know if this has been discussed or not, but we all know west coast teams are horrible when travling to the east coast this year with an abysmal 1-17 (I believe) on the road record. Ironically, that 1 west coast team to travel to the east coast and secure a victory was non other than by San Fran in week 13 at Buffalo... I sure as hell hope they do not continue their, on the road, west coast to east coast traveling win streak... I am sure Singletary know this and has used it as a motivational tool for this weeks game.
I think the singletary motivational speech goes something like "go out there and play tough football or i'm going to shove my boot so far up your *** you're going to be tasting leather for a week". w/that being said these kinds of things don't mean too much IMO (the "we're the only team coming out of the west to the east and winning" thing).
i would like to think buffalo is not a good team....hence why they lost.....but when the 9ers played them....buff was in the thick of the playoff talk....they needed that win, and they had their starting qb (edwards) ill tell you, the 49ers scare me.....this game is the definition of a trap game man....they have a new coach who is firey, and got them playing inspired football, and they are friggin foaming at the mouth to ruin peoples seasons..... just like in life, people who lose, like company.....they try to bring people down with them....and this scares me about the 49ers....i hope gore is limited, and i hope we control the clock like last week.....but damnit we gotta put the ball in the endzone, i cant take much more close games...nail biters at the end...we need a solid victory and hopefully it will start a snowball effect....roll over kc and punch the jets in the neck and take the East......but 1st.... lets take care of buisness at home, the last home game of the regular season!!!

I said the same thing about the 49ers...they scare me of all the teams we've played. Singletary has done some good things over there and we haven't really set the world on fire, albeit we've won...The Niners are playing well offensively and just good enough defensively...bad news for the Fins... But I think it will be a typical Fins close win....but if you don't think this is going to be one of those typical (or come to be known as typical) Fins nail-biting, scratch and claw, do just enough to win games, then you had better not watch...tivo the game and watch it after you know we've pulled it out...might do your nerves better...
The key may be whether or not Gore plays. It looks to be a game time decision. I know I will feel a little more confident if they are without their best offensive player.
