if i had to pick a game the good doc would enjoy (and rock at) I'd say Little Big Planet. It's got tons of old school flare (no pun), and tons of replayability.
what you did is illegal. You cant recommend a game you haven't played... Even worse, it's not even close to being out.
If that is the case, in addition to upgrading your tv, I hope you have an adequate sound system as well. A few blu-rays that I will suggest: Wall-E Pirates Trilogy 3:10 to Yuma I, Robot Speed Racer Forbidden Kingdom Hellboy: 2 The Incredible Hulk Crank Shoot 'Em Up 300 Kill Bill 1 & 2 Spriderman Trilogy Die Hard quadology (at least the newest one) Transformers
Nice. You might also want to check out Prince of Persia, perhaps Metal Gear Solid 4, and Grand Theft Auto 4.
Uncharted (Drake's Fortune) is a great game and so is Resistance 1&2. Oh and make sure to post your PSN name so your phins brethren can find you on the PS3.
Good call. Have not had the chance to view/review that one. I got a lot of hd-dvds too (like transformers and 300), but I understand the blu-ray is just as good which is why I suggested them despite not seeing them on blu-ray.
If you like strategy games I have to recommend Valkyria Chronicles. That game is amazing for the strategy fans.
Not the best game out there, but I loved it on 360. Lost Planet: Extreme Condition [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Planet-Extreme-Condition-Playstation-3/dp/B00104KCF8/ref=br_lf_m_1000208101_1_1_ttl?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=videogames&pf_rd_p=465664671&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_t=1401&pf_rd_i=1000208101&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1FPXPTMNW26E9585C696]Amazon.com: Lost Planet: Extreme Condition: Video Games[/ame] Pretty good price IMO too.
Uncharted is a great game and it doesn't take forever to get through [good for casual gamers like me]. I thought Heavenly Sword was a very fun game. Also I'd pick up the Oblivion game of the year edition with all the expansions included. Oblivion is an outstanding game though to this day I haven't finished it. [Or probably even come that close]
I'd recommend littlebigplanet. Its the most creative game on the system and sadly the only one not on the 360 that i want to own myself. Its a fantastic game if you're willing to sit down and really try out some creative things. I wish i could play more of it then the little i did.
A bit off topic, but Wall-E is the best thing Pixar has ever created and the Blu-ray verison of the movie is amazing. Also, get a hold of the Planet Earth documentary. Stunning visuals galore.
me too. i got the tv this past summer. and with my fantasy football title game this weekend, i have earmarked my winnings for a PS3, in large part because of the Blue Ray capabilty. so gamers, i will probably be asking alot of dumb questions in the near future about online gaming, with which i have no experience whatsoever. please bare with me. and also, how is the functionality of the PS3 as a blue ray player? i dont care about alot of bells and whistles. simplicity is more my concern. thanks.
You'll hear a lot of people say the PS3 is the best Blu Ray player out there -- even better than "dedicated" Blu Ray players. You may want to consider getting a remote (costs extra) if you're going to be watching movies more than playing games. Me, I'm fine with just using the controller.
