Man where does the time go? http://www.thephins.com/index.php?o...cisco-at-miami&catid=31:cons-keys-to-the-game
Could very well see that. Play action needs to be imvolved thats for sure as a way to keep Willis from being the human missile he is most of the time.
Amazing write up as always, well thought out and researched. I would suggest for future write ups to try and end on a different note. Unless I missed something, it didn't feel like a conclusion but rather like you just abruptly stopped writing. Maybe end with a prediction, or at least a sum up sentence. Again though amazing work Con, really appreciate the time you put into it for us who cant closely follow every single team in the NFL.
BTW, Con, I take it you are not a fan of Mr. Alleman? And did Al Johnson see any field time last week?
Did I? Sorry. Yeah I see what you mean there. Will do next time. Not that I saw. And no I do not like Alleman much as an effective player when called upon. The guy gets beaten badly far too often for my liking. I mean they pulled him after he let Kyle Williams blow up a play on the first drive. Alleman didn't spit in his ear to slow him down.
Did Frye replace Alleman? And for me, one of Alleman's saving features is he is still a second year player who did not play very much for the Saints, so he does have room to grow, but he also could be Chris Liewinski redux...just no sand in the bucket to anchor against a bull rush.
One correction to be made here: Lawson is not a liability in coverage on Bess. I had said Bess is tough for a backer to cover - especially Lawson. That statement is inaccurate and I don't know why the two are linked in that statement. My apologies for that error.
You know I was actually thinking that, because I know that he is a pretty fast and shifty linebacker, but since I haven't really SEEN him play I thought maybe he was having coverage issues. Thats for that add on Con.
con, i really enjoy your write ups here, look for them every week. thanks for the time and effort in putting them together. this week you touched on our guards play, i am concerned with our ability to run the ball on tlhe interior. i think we really need to be able to run up the middle from a normal set. i'm hoping to see that this week, and as we finish the season. seems you like frye more than alleman, i remember allemans name being thrown around as a possible draft choice. think either guys can be longer term solutions, or ndukwe for that matter. an offfseason of strength, conditioning and coaching can do alot. how bout other options already here on the ps or ir?
Thanks. I think we need to add someone who has better initial pop to be honest. As far as someone coming in now and helping out - it isn't the best time for that, continuity is much more important. I don't know if I agree with your future assessment, but that has nothing to do with it not happening. It is possible to get stronger, but Ndukwe has been in the league long enough that shouldn't be an issue. Alleman gets a slide sure. Have to wait until next year now mate, infortunately.
agree that continuity is very important right now.next season donald thomas returns, hopefully alleman improves. what do you think about frye, murphy, mcchesney long term?
