Seriously, how can someone lead the league in drops and be talking like this:

Nice. I seem to remember him being one of, if not the most popular WR in the league last year when he was having a good season. Every Cleveland fan had either his or DA's jersey on. Nice job of taking full credit for last year's season also.

What a weak attempt to brush off the criticism for him having a horrible season and trying to blame the boos on him being a Mich alum. ******ed.

I also love that last part about how he's only going to do charity in Detroit now. Real nice. People are critizing your ****ty play and now your going to take away one of the only nice things you've done by giving charity to kids.

    What A D-Bag.

Edwards may be a D-Bag, but IMO he is nowhere even close the level of D-Bag that T.O is. T.O is at a level all by himself.

True, but Edwards is off to a great start and has plenty of time to catch up.

    Why,

If he is hearing heckles, how do you know it is not all legit. How would you like to give your all, come back early from surgeries, and still hear the biased bs from fans that heckle him. I don't care about his drops, because he has done a lot for that team. Whether he says it or doesn't, it doesn't change the fact that he is a primary reason for their success.

Not one person on this site knows what it feels like to in the limelight, and heckled, especially by hometown fans. It takes a toll on anyone. He does deserve more credit if all this is true, and it must be, if he is saying things like that publically.

    I'm done playing Devil's advocate.

I just think he wants a reason to leave CLE.

He needs to get his vision checked. I'm not clowning on the guy, I'm being serious. He drops too many balls that are right in his hands. Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn are not the most accurate Quarterbacks out there but when your dropping passes that are in the palms of your hands, you have some issues. He's had one big year and a couple pretty good ones. I still don't think he's lived up to his billing though.

Is that his fault or Crennels?

Seriously, Cleveland supposedly had two franchise quarterbacks and how did that turn out? There has to be internal problems within Cleveland... Just has to...

Edwards is a playmaker in a terrible situation. I don't see him in Cleveland much longer than his contract says he has to...

Edwards' statements here are nowhere near TO level. So he's having a rough year, the entire organization in cleveland is. nobody is performing well. You really have to give edwards alot of credit for their performance last year. Maybe he took that part of his comments a bit too far, but ya know what... If im him, and im out there giving my all on the field, and he's doing all the great things he's doing for charity, and people are giving him hell for it... I just might mouth off a bit too, and not want to myself on the line for them either. And ya know what, he's probably right about being a "marked man" coming from michigan to play in ohio... that rivalry is taken pretty serious up in this area. Im sure he hears alot of crap from those fans in cleveland about it, especially now that the team is struggling again this year.

To me, this is nowhere near the TO level... how you can even compare it im not really sure.... TO is in his own little world.

Im sure Edwards is feeling very unappreciated up there, and im sure at the same time he's not very happy with the team. It continuously goes nowhere. I wouldnt want to play there either if I was him. From their continuously dismal performance (aside from last year) to their long running track record of staph infections, it's definately not an organization I'd want to be a part of, especially if it seems like the fans don't want you there.

Ocho Cinco, Edwards, Brandon Marshall (next TO), and TO. piss on them all. Can't they all be like Bolton, Carter (Chris), Chambers?

The guy takes full credit for last season. FULL credit.

Goes out of his way to talk a big game in the media with how, "He'll have more TDs than Phelps had gold medals this season."

Then he ends up having a horrid season, leads the league in drops. Drops a ton of critical "easy" catches.

Understandably, fans of any team are going to get pissed off when their best player ****s the bed like that and looks like he's just having mental lapses, to say the least.

So now people boo him and what does he do? Goes and whines to the media about how people are booing him bc he went to Michigan. Really? Where was this last year? Thats just one big sorry excuse and copout.

Then ontop of that, he's now threatening to take away charity from kids in Cleveland. What did those kids do to deserve that? Anyone with half a brain would realize that has nothing to do with his situation. Thats a douchebag move that we haven't even seen from T.O. yet.

Braylon has been playing so bad this year, he has no room to talk about anything but the fact that he has had a terrible year.

Is what his or Crennels fault? His drops?

Indeed. Their GM and HC are not on the same page, they're having issues in the locker room with Winslow and now Edwards.

He can make flashy catches but his drops outweigh that IMO.

There will end up being some big changes in Cleveland this off season, especially after their expectations were so high coming off 07. Edwards came off as a douche, yes, but TO is still a DB HOF lock, Edwards will need a lot more press coverage to catch up.

That would be ironic, especially after the hoopla over him a couple years ago. He's young enough to steer right and I highly doubt he'd be so 'vocal' with the Tuna and Sparano at the helm.

No thanks. We really don't need any primadona WR's. Especially not when we'll be transitioning into a very inexperienced QB within the next few years.

You know, he shouldn't have said this, but at the same time, is he really wrong? I imagine Browns fans felt the same way about drafting a Michigan player as we Fins fans initially did when we signed Chad Pennington, former Jet.

Personally I hated the fact that 'Noodles' was our QB. Now I love it.

I would never disrespect the man now, he can't help the fact that he was drafted by the Jest.

The Michigan thing isn't inappropriate. It's those 5 other ******ed comments that came along with them that show what kind of a moron he is.

This isn't college. If a WR or a QB really has to take into account where their teammates went to school (for any other reason then knowing systems), then it shows what kind of amature mentality they have.

    Pass. And Drop.

Exactly this isn't college, but they have been around each other before, and Henne led that team just like he would do here. You are judging the guy about stuff that hasn't happened yet, and about stuff that you only know a small fraction about.

He's had a few ok seasons and one really good one.

Currently, he leads the league in drops and is making ridiculous statements to the media.

Does that really sound like something we need?

If we want a #1 WR that bad then we need to pay for a real vet in Boldin or Housh.

Of the 3, only Housh is going to be a FA. Aside from that, Edwards has a lot more sundays ahead of him than Housh IMO.

So if age is the only thing he can bring to the table then we might as well just draft a WR.

lol ok dude. Your only points on Edwards were that:

He went to Michigan and played with Henne.

He "has more Sundays left than Housh" (implying he's younger, which he is)

Unless I missed something else you posted. Do you hate me because I went to Michigan?
