If you guys deem it necessary to merge with the trailer thread, could you PLEASE rename it to this. Thanks. The Friday the 13th remake is coming out in February (Friday, Feb. 13th to be exact). And being an F13 fan, I'm anxious for this remake - even more so than Halloween. This Jason will be exciting. He runs, as opposed to the Frankenstein walk that has become associated with him since the 4th installment. Based on the trailer, it looks pretty cool and exciting. I like that they are taking it back to the origins of Crystal Lake. The remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre wasn't horrible. I'm really hopeful that they've done a good job with Friday the 13th. Bring it on...
Script review here, and it's good: Friday the 13th Remake Script Review - MINOR SPOILERS | BeyondHollywood.com | Asian, Foreign, Horror, and Genre Movie Reviews and News
Ughhh... I saw the original when I was about 6 thanks to my evil sister. I'm not looking forward to yet another remake.
might have to see this. I love the F13th and the Nightmare series as well as a lot of horror movies in general and B movies, too.
The original one scared the holy crap out of us. About 6 of us went to see it and even the "so-called" brave ones got spooked. The ones after that were not that scary.
It's not about scary it's about making sure you've seen them all. Wait a minute. That's Pokemon. I think F13th is about scaring, actually.
Jason in the sack head BEFORE he acquires hockey mask Hi-Res image of Jason pre-hockey mask that he will acquire, I hear, in a very cool way...
i was about to say!!! it's been a while but wasn't the mother the main bad guy in the first? jason was still a boy..they should call it friday the 13th 1.5..don't think i'll be watching this as my eyes are still bleeding from the halloween remake. note to movie makers:make your own original horror movies please!!
Friday the 13th TV spot Gotta love the end when the Jason is sharpening his machete... And DAMN there are some hot babes in this movie... http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/14916
I wonder how many boobs we'll see? I know a lot of you aren't fans of the horror remakes, but what did you think of The Hills Have Eyes? I totally dug the remake of that, what a sick flick that was.
I thought The Hills Have Eyes was one of the better horror remakes without a doubt. AS far as how many boobs we'll see: I've heard and read several interviews with the writers and director of the new F13 and they brag that there are lots of them.
Thanks for digging all this stuff up. I think it's creepier with him running around with a sack on his head, myself. Clip looks good though might have to watch it. Or rent it.
well I will have to check this out seems like it could be pretty good. I am a fan of all the old horror films so it is worth a watch.
Yeah, the sack is pretty creepy. But it's just not the same without the hockey mask. Nah, don't rent it. You HAVE to see it at the theater!!!

Press Screening for F13 remake last night (1/30) The press screener for the Friday remake was shown last night (Jan. 30th), so reviews for the movie should be popping up on the net any time now. Just a heads up...
Picked up the 1980 original on Blu-Ray today. Can't wait for the re-make! Hope it's better than Rob Zombie's re-make of Halloween. Jason is by far my favorite "horror hero" though.
15 minutes of behnd the scenes "B-Roll" footage It's broken down into three videos. http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/bdtv/search.php?tag= friday the 13th broll
Just got back from watching a press screener. It's pretty good and not a remake but a relaunch. I thought it was pretty well done and as a pretty big horror fan I was actually pleased with it. I was pretty disappointed with the death scenes as I feel we've seen them all before, but at this point I think you really have to go out of your way (Saw) to come up with something new. Anyway, overall I think it's worth seeing if you enjoy horror or even as a F13 fan.
Lucky dog...I'm VERY anxious to see it. Yeah, the kills can't be all that creative because, really, Jason (or M. Myers, etc.) have pretty much killed everyone in every way possible.
Saw it and really enjoyed it. If I get some free time, I'll write a review. A hundred times better than the Halloween remake. (And some seriously nice eye candy to boot).
You MIGHT be on to something there! Yeah, the first two pair it showed were okay at best. But the last girl...WOW!!!
Sweet. I want to see it again. I like the "new" Jason. He's much more agile and moves like a guy who has lived his life in the wilderness. There ARE some things I didn't like - such as the lack of the original score. (Amongst a few other things - but I won't give them away). But it was a fun movie and you have to look at it for what it is. A SLASHER Film. This is the best one since the supposed FINAL CHAPTER (4).
That franchise was dragged through the mud and back, so much that like Nightmare On Elm Street, it became a parody of itself. Nice to see it reborn.
