I say bring on the cold and wind! It's gonna be different for the team, and I believe if that forecast holds up it will be the coldest game the Dolphins have ever played. I know they'll be ready for it though.

If the Chiefs could magically have Kelly, Reid, Thomas and Bruce Smith, then the cold would bother me...but Penny has a date with destiny in NY next weekend, no use trying to duck out of it now GM...:up:

Jets fans.. ewww.. but nice gif lol

Yea, we should be fine with Ricky and Ronnie.
Especially considering the Cheif's history of stopping the run!

Was he the player ended Dwight Stevenson career on a cheap shot???

That would be enough to keep him from it...that is the first memory that comes up when mostly everyone thinks of Klecko...

Kansas City is terrible against the run. Miami has two good running backs.

    Miami 17
    KC 7

Marty "psycho" Lyons ended Dwight's career...

As for Klecko...isn't Dan Klecko still in the NFL...why would he be elected to the HoF?

That was Marty Lyons. Interesting quote from Dwight:

Do you hold a grudge against Joe Klecko of the Jets for his hit behind the play that gave you your knee injury that ultimately ended your career?
DS: You know what? It's surprising, everybody seems to think and Joe Klecko seems to get the most publicized. But, he wasn't the one who hit me. He's the one that probably got most of the PR but Joe Klecko was not the person that hit me. The guy that hit me was Marty Lyons. And, I don't hold any malice or any hard feelings toward Marty Lyons. He was a former college teammate of mine and he's part of the Alabama family. And, I know that he didn't intentionally mean to cause me any harm. I don't look at it like he did. When you go out on that field, you realize any play or any time could be a possibly career-ending injury. I know Marty, in his heart, didn't mean it and I don't have any hard feelings toward Marty Lyons at all, and I've talked to him many times since then.

I thought this too, BUT I seem to recall us going against other teams that were terrible against the run this year and we came out throwing against them. I HOPE Sparano sits Henning down and has a nice long talk with him about this before he comes up with the offensive gameplan.

Their an awful defensive team all-around. They have nine total sacks this year, which is just abysmal. I think the record for the lowest amount of sacks in a year is like 13 by the Indianapolis Colts in the early nineties but I could be completely wrong lol.

Yeah GM, thanks for th quote... I could not think of Lyons, and Klecko came to mind...

I have read what you quoted about how Dwight felt afterwards, but as Dwight stated, mostly everyone thought it was Klecko... I am still guilty of that after all these years...

but Klecko was a hell of a player...

Miami doesn't blow anyone out, so it will go down to the 4th quarter.

The Jets might be in for a surprise this week. They eeked by Buffalo and have a tough west coast trip against a team whose coach knows Favre as well as anyone alive. I'm predicting a surprise Seattle win

Ehh...stepping back a bit, KC has eight sacks..in total...they are ballhawks, but Herm Edwards is running the show...

And ricky and ronnie are healthy.

Besides, what better drama then Phins v Jets in NJ and it is win or go home?

Wake up Marcus Trufant, it's time for a pick 6.

Well now us objective Miami fans could also say the Jets are 0-3 this year when going to the west coast against teams with a combined winning percentage of 14-28 with an average margin of loss at about 11 points.

Looking at those stats the Jets are better than the Seahawks....but. :wink2:

On Chad, he is doing some things here I have never seen before and wondered if he did that sort of thing with you too. He is having meetings during the week with the line, and then the offense as a whole completely independant of the coaches meetings. Also, he is giving assignments to Beck and Henne, having them break down tendencies and such. From here, we never heard of him doing that before he came to us. Sparano said the same thing, new to him.

Soo, did he do all that with you guys? Thanks.

Leave it to that organization to miss the playoffs after an 8-3 start. Such a joke.

The 2001 Phins were 9-3 and got blown out in the Playoffs..

The 9-5 Phins in 02 missed the playoffs

The 9-2 Phins in 93 missed the playoffs

Really..know your team before spouting off:up:

The Dolphins have been a soft group (much like the Jets) for the better part of the past decade. No one is denying that...

Not this year though, and its been a joy to watch.

Actually GM, I'm not certain if you said it, or Bwana Zula said it, but when we first signed Pennington, a Jets fan was certain that we would soon begin the hate because CP would throw pick six's in bunches.

Last Season he was pretty bad for the Jets, but he also had a bum ankle, right now Penny is playing as well as he ever did with the Jets save for 04 or so when Curtis Martin was simply amazing but blew out his knee leading the league in rushing...

And the really funny thing is, the Jets have had much better Wr then we have had for most of the time, save for Chris Chambers, Pennington had more to work with in NY then here, yet he is playing well.

A different Jets fan mentioned that teams would pack the middle of the field and the short routes and Chad would be neutered due to his arm, yet that has also not been a problem this year...

What's different about Penny with us then with youse guys?
