Today while I was out running errants with my father in law. I ran into a Steeler fan today. Of course I had to rock the Dolphin Santa hat and sweatshirt. The gentleman said good game yesterday to me. I said thanks now we need to beat the Jets. He said no problem. I thought that was pretty cool, and had to share it.
You are so nice Cali I would have said, "Hey Steelers fan, how are you going to feel in 3 weeks when we go to your house and knock you out of the playoffs????
Nah brother, don't want bad karma, and not my style to kick someone when they are down, as I know what it feels like first hand. I was wearing the same stuff last week to the grocery store and the checker moved right in front of me, and said I love your sweatshirt. I looked down at her and she is sporting this very nice Dolphin sweatshirt. I was like right on. Lots of Dolphin fans out here in Cali.
I know its hard to hate on the Steelers, but if that guy was wearing a Patsies shirt I'm hoping your kind attitude would have turned in to a smack to the back of the head Just kidding of course..... Sort of....
I don't mind Steeler fans or the Steelers. Co-worker grew up in Pittsburgh, uncle lives in Pittsburgh, Neighbor's a Steelers fan, ex-classmate is a Steeler... Frankly, as long as they're not playing us, it's all good. Now Jests, Jills, and Patsies on the other hand... I don't see too many of them in my neck of the woods. More like Chargers, Raiders, Rams, Patsies, Jets, Steelers, Cardinals, Bills, Packers, Cowboys, and 49ers ones.
Surprisingly I get a lot of comments on my Phins gear here in AFC North territory. Last season it was a lot of "are you serious?" comments but ever since the pre-season they have been a bit more positive. Last Christmas my family gave me a lot of crap for sporting my Phins gear while they were all living up the Clowns "breakout" season. Guess who's laughing now...haha...ME.
I have never had any problems with Steeler fans because we don't seem to play them too often. I visit a Starbucks a couple times a week in the late afternoon and this old guy is always in there with his Pat's hat and jacket. He said it looks like it could be the Phins' year this year. It's nice getting some props from fans of other teams. I just hope we can get it done, and then go on a roll like the Steelers did a few years ago to win the SB. I really don't think there is an NFL team that is unbeatable,,,,,so hey maybe we will shock the world and win it all, not just the AFC East? But I would be happy to just beat the Jets on Sunday!!!!
