Hey all, I'm new here, but I'm not new. I say that because I've had an account for a bit of time, just never posted. I have pretty much been a Dolphins fan all my life, grew up being a fan of them, though I'm not sure how my dad actually became a fan of them. I do remember him saying one time when he was stationed in Florida (he was in the Navy, retired now), he met Dan Marino there at a club. I don't think he got any pictures though, or even talked with him, but he said that he did see him! I have been to 2 Dolphins games now also, the one @Indy 2 years ago, and then the game @KC this year. So, we are 1-1 for the games that I have been at. I must say though, that game at KC this year was FREEZING! And me, being the loyal Dolphins fan that I am (and, it was our dad's Christmas present, and I was supposed to be able to put pressure on my leg anyway), was at the game, on crutches! Though, I did "cheat" and put pressure on my leg, since there was no way I was making it to the gate with the cold and wind blowing right at us without doing that. Don't tell my orthopedic doctor about that though
My leg (knee actually, had a kneecap realignment basically) is actually healing pretty well. I'm up and walking normally without the brace and crutches, but still do have a noticeable limp. Going to attempt to drive again for the first time since Halloween this weekend, as it's my right knee that the operation was done on.
Really glad you decided to post, and of course also happy to have you. Sorry to hear about the knee, and I have to say, that is quite some time to not be able to drive. Please keep us up to date on how the healing process is going
One thing I was thinking during the draft last year was for us to get Dustin Keller. He was a star WR at my high school (he graduated a year or 2 after me), and then we both went to Purdue as well. But now, he is with the Jets!
Well, I was going to provide an update, but I haven't yet, so here we go! I ended up making it back to work on Jan 8th (got the release on Dec 23rd to put pressure on leg), but I told them that I wouldn't be back until the 10th. Boy were they surprised, but that's what I was hoping for I still have discomfort down in my shin though, and really not able to do anything more than walk fast (no jogging or running). Have a follow-up with the orthopedic doc on Tuesday, and if it's not feeling any better on Monday, PT is going to mention that to him before the appt, so he knows before then.
Welcome bro.You should consider our Club level where the lurking is top notch .Some have compared it to the Dolphin digest plus
