each team's qb is a perfect fit for that team. im not gonna sit here and say that flacco is a god as some on here are expecting.

chad has had a tremendous year and a better one than flacco hands down

they needed an article analyzing two QBs to come to the conclusion that the team that runs the ball and plays good defense is going to win?

I don't know how much you can trust a rookie QB on the road in the playoffs, and the bettor in me does not trust Flacco given the situation. Same reason I like Warner over Ryan this weekend also. Playing ARI and MIA moneyline this weekend for major units, shipit!

Flacco and Ryan are not typical rookies.

People get to hung up on "Flacco the rookie" thing. He's come a long way and isn't really a "rookie" anymore.Almost half our games (7) were against teams with a top ten defense so he's had a steep learning curve. He's a good QB.

At this point in their careers? Pennington. Playoff proven and can rely less on his running game than Joe has to at this point. Now in two years if you ask me who is better, it SHOULD be Flacco. But for now, 2008/2009 season, I'll take Chad.

I have lots of respect for Flacco. The guy shred our defense when we last played the Ravens.

I would hope that people take the time to actually read the cited article before replying to this thread.

Nope I wont. He was good in the regular season, playoffs on the road are another animal.

Even if the Ravens lose, and lose big, I'll take Joe Cool hands down. Why? Because Flacco is playing absolutely fantastic in his rookie year, and in a year when he was supposed to be riding the pine behind Boller and Smith. Or Smith and Boller. Or McNair, Boller and Smith, as McNair was still on the roster when Flacco was drafted.

To get the nod to be the starting QB in Week 3 of the preseason and perform as he has done tells me Joe is going to be a QB to remember from here on out.

I think Chad has the edge in the QB matchup, but I also remember Baltimore won a Superbowl with a very average QB because they have always had great defenses. I think if Miami doesn't turn the ball over we win it.

Typical rookie Q.B. will: be mistake prone, throw more INT than a veteran, panic under pressure, frenetic in the pocket , be easily baited into poor decisions. Two examples come to mind,Terry Bradshaw, Ryan Leaf.

No. Boller was lost to IR with a shoulder injury, then Smith became seriously ill. If Kyle wouldn't have been injured, he most likely would have been the starter over Smith and certainly over Flacco.

Can't fault them for not following Delaware. They won the championship a few years ago but since then I don't think they've done anything too remarkable.
