Which is why I'm all the more surprised to seem the leading in the game right now. Atlanta nearly gave up a safety. Man they are disjointed right now.
so far, atlanta isnt controlling anything in the 2nd half sorry, it can only see 3 minutes into the future. btw, dont cut the green wire.
I think Atlanta over looked Arizona and it obviously a big mistake. I think the ravens did the same thing with Miami, hopefully Baltimore did and we will see the outcome with that!
Fitzgerald has a legitimate gripe for Pass Interference on Third Down. Rackers misses from 51 yards out. I haven't watched the entire game, but thus far both of these teams look disjointed and are playing pretty poorly. Neither coach can be happy with the effort that they've seen today.
it was inside 5 yards, so contact is fine. but that was the most blatant defensive holding ive ever seen.
You want Del Rio to get fired? I think he deserves another year, at least in Jacksonville. They just had a number of things go wrong this year.
No, once ARI has to go play an away game they will get thrashed. Atlanta was a team they matched up well with (at least the Cards O). IMO this game is about over. That TO killed Atlanta, could kinda see them deflate a bit and now the D is getting thrown around and giving up big running plays again. Unless the Falcs can come back and score and D grow a backbone again this one is over.
DRC with the Int. Ryan telegraphed that pass, rookie mistake on that one. This game is going to the Cardinals.
LOL, I'll never say something positive about the Flacons again. What a joke. They had everything going their way and then 140 seconds of self destruction at the beginning of the third. I still believe, though. And I know, Falcons, you can't stop the run and gave up an average of 4.9 yards, but this is the worst running game in the NFL you are playing. This is playoff football, wake up!
Ack, TOs are killer! Thats our one shot tomorrow. If we can avoid the TO and grab 1-2 ourselves we might be able to beat the Ravens. Conversely, they live off those huge defensive turnarounds. We need to be careful with the ball or we will see the same thing with us tomorrow.
Looks like Arizona has the game in hand now. Lets hope Flacco makes some of the mistakes Ryan has made today.
This time of the game, the little things like staying in bounds are fun to watch. Atlanta seemed to me to lack urgency on TD drive...guys could have gotten out of bounds and didn't, the Falcons huddled up.. I'd forgotten about Todd Haley.
What in the name of god was Brooking doing? I thought he was an all pro? Thats a rookie mistake, and a really really really bad one at that. Common sense, ALWAYS defend for the deep gain first in long yardarge sits.
What a heartbreaking game this must have been for the Falcons fans. You come from nowhere, you go the playoffs facing a beatable Cardinals team, you have everything going your way in the first half and than one fumble destroys your day. Sure, the team gives you some hope at the end only to give up 22 yards to a TE on a 3rd&16. If we lose tomorrow it better be a blowout.
IMO both the Cards and Vikes should have been favored. THe Cards matched up well with the Falcons, and its always iffy with a rookie QB. Even as badly as they had been playing, it was hard to take such a young team on the road against them. Cards have been dominant at home mostly, while the Falcs have struggled on the road. People often forget to look at the obvious. Like that depite having Jackson at QB the Vikes should roll over Philly easily. A good homefield advantage, a dominant running game with the 1 guy in the NFC who can win a game by himself (AP), and a defense that plays to Phillys weaknesses. And again, Philly has largely been rather poor on the road. One big win over a self destructing Giants team and suddenly they are super bowl favs? Please. As for the Colts/Bolts, that should be an easy Colts win. Same for the Ravens, as much as it pains me to say.
Disagree about the ravens, a rookie Qb on the road for his first playoff start, against our solid team, to me we are missing the obvious, IMO that is due to years of WannyBall..us fans are not nearly as confident as our team must be right now.
I agree its a possibility. My biggest worry is that Ravens D. They just owned us in that first game. We absolutely cannot give up the ball against them. They are hawks and will take advantage of it. If we can key on Willis and force Flacco to win the game, we have a good shot. Im just not sure we can. I hope Im wrong, but the obvious for me would be that the Ravens really pretty easily demolished us at home earlier in the season. Yeah its been awhile since then and we are playing better, but arguably so are they. We can win, its just gonna be a slugfest. The TO battle will be absolutely crucial.
Pennington had the most yardage this year against the ravens, and we still were playing Jason Allen back then, things have changed since then. We didn't have Lou Polite, Bess was just the #3, and we tied the fewest turnover record as well. We also didn't have Fergie or Soliai either, we had Starks at the nose for the game...that is another difference. To me, Pennington is the most underrated factor in all of this, it's like he didn't really play that well this year, he really didn't break Marino's records, he really didn't have the most yds passing since Marino in 97, he's just a helpless non entity against the mean ol ravens defense..
Nah, I think we have a chance, but they are a nasty ballhawking defense. Like I said, if we can avoid the TOs (F"n Suggs!) then we have a chance. Our offense has largely struggled late in the year, but they have come up with timely plays and points. We just need to play our game and not the Ravens. Shut down Willis, avoid the turnovers and put a few points up. Hope to get Flacco acting like a rook and pounce when needed. OFC part of it all just the old reverse psychology and anti-jinx.
