He has generally had a good OL at least. I wonder if his 2 minute drill would improve with a coach other than Andy Reid. Neither are born to win a close game.
How is Ciphers not in the probowl btw? This guy is as good as Guy. I hate punting, but man hes just sick. You know your doing your job when the returner is actually willing to faircatch inside the 10 lest it sit on the 2.
They need fix the Pro Bowl voting. They vote way too early, Rivers should have been in too (especially over Favre). And Ryan Clady was robbed.
Sub Penny for Rivers and Long for Clady and sure Neither Favre nor Peters (Bills LT who made it) had any business going though indeed. I dont even know the punter who made it. They finally got Wayne deep as well, theyve come close a few times.
and Chad Lewis, Duce Staley, Brian Mitchell, Todd Pinkston, Donte Stallworth, Deshaun Jackson and Reggie Brown.. McNabb has had weapons for the majority of his career, the idea that it was McNabb and cardboard cutouts running patterns and catching balls is not the way it has been.
lol @ cromartie this is the playoffs. how about some awareness? thats reggie wayne running past you!!!
Oh come on, Padre. We both know that Mitchell was a returner at best, Pinkston was nothing, Staley was decent, Stallworth spends more time pulling hamstrings than catching passes, DeSean Jackson is a first year player and Reggie Brown is inconsistent. I dont think those guys qualify as playmakers. EDIT: Chad Lewis was solid at best.
Yeah, Pennington should have been in too. And Long (definitely over Jason Peters) Lets protest outside Aloha Stadium
Out of those names, only Jackson can be considered a "playmaker", and he's only a rookie. He could be a bust next year.
You paying? That play was pretty sweet though, awesome awareness for the Colts. As for the Bolts, its almost like Norv has infected them ...
I really hope the bolts can pull off the win, not a FAN OF THE COLTS BY ANY MEANS!... They need to get Sproles in space.
You've got to be kidding? Look at Tom Brady's numbers last year with pretty much the exact same team. 50 TD, 8 INT, 4,806 yards, 69% complete (117.2 QB rating). Matt Cassel has 21 TD, 11 INT, 3,615, and 63% complete (89 QB rating). With NE's schedule you predict they win one more game? Try 15-1 or better.
Sproles is so small the defense can't get him when he goes through the LOS. Is Malcolm Flyod hurt? SD should use him more.
And part of that is because Cassel holds on to the ball too long at times. The other part of it is because they've regressed.
Chargers haven't been having the best of luck with fumbles. Refs made the right call with Sproles, but the incorrect call with the fumble near the end of the first half, IMO.
That suits him perfectly!! Awesome nickname! I love the way he can continue moving up field while spinning and running backwards.
He wasn't going to put up those numbers again. You can argue it all you want but it's just opinion. Their lack of offense had nothing to do with their terrible linebacking core, or being unable to stop the wildcat our first meeting.
You lost your arguement the second you said Reggie Brown was a big time playmaker. He was good for a few big plays but the guy had alligator arms. Lewis? Average player. Pinkston? Average player Stallworth? Above average but always hurt Staley? Slightly above average
watching the game I've got a bigger TV in the living room than the bedroom so I go out there to watch
I have to ask why the Chargers coaching staff doesn't use cutbacks against the Colts defense. Their a very good pursuit team but they can overrun plays and lead to big gains.
And all those guys either made pro bowls, or scored 10 TD's or had 1,000 yds. When McNabb was injured Jeff Garcia led them to the playoffs, enough with the poor old McNabb had no weapons...
