It was a great season. We have a lot of young talent and veteran leaders on this team. We found ourselves a great coach and I expect next year to be even better. No one expected us to be where we were, and next year I expect a Super Bowl victory in our own stadium.
Great season, by far exceeded all of our expectations. Bitter pill to swallow at the end here, but it is what it is. What this team did this year to turn around the mess we were last year was quite incredible. Congrats!
The 2008 Miami Dolphins Appreciation Thread I want this thread to be a place for people to appreciate what the 2008 Miami Dolphins have accomplished this year when no one thought they could. If you don't think you can be positive then why even waste your time posting here. Let me start: 1-15 to 11-5 and AFC East Champs - Enough Said A QB who won Comeback Player of the Year and finished 2nd in MVP voting The Fins have a QB for the future. A team that never quit even in their last game A solid foundation to build on promising future playoff success Remember we all know the Fins had their opportunities versus the Ravens but they are the better team at this point and time. Next year with another Free Agency and Offseason I see this Fins team being right back in the playoffs. Just think with a big time WR and a stronger O-Line how much different the Ravens game may have been, also lets not forget the Ravens have a great defense and the Fins still have places to improve. Let's not forget just how truly amazing this season was, most people had the Fins pegged with another 10+ loss season. Once again I will say this team will be back and even better next year (although I will also say that we never know what next year will bring - but I do not think this year was a fluke). The Fins will rise again. Just let me say I am very proud of this team and proud to be a Fin fan no matter what criticism will be thrown around by fellow fans and the media. This was a great 2008 football season and next year will be even better.

I wonder when the last time i was able to enjoy a dolphin season... Great season, sad to see it end this way but at least i get to come here and mourn with other Dolphin fans who feel the same way i do.
Hell of a year. Can't complain they exceeded my expectations by 5 games. I hope we can build on the foundation we laid this season and keep this team competitive next year, especially if Brady returns. Now lets all get loadeder!
This one hurts right now. But I'm still damn proud of this team. I have faith in the coaches and the players. We need help on the offensive side of the ball and depth on the defensive side of the ball. But this guys really played above their head all season. Anyone who's not proud of this team because of this game had the wrong expectations of this team this year. I love my Miami Dolphins and I can't wait to see how we improve this team this offseason.
Hold your heads up and be proud Dolphins fans: 1. At times you moved the ball at will against the Ravens defense with a thin receiver group. What a TD by Ron Brown. 2. Dolphins never quit even at the end 3. Your organization has put together a very exciting future. This team will play well for a long time and barring injury should improve each year. 4. Your defense stepped up and really frustrated the Ravens offense at times. 5. What a turn around from last year. You all should be proud of your faithfullness to your team. 6. Your improvement and turn around has made the NFL better as a whole this season.
Im very proud of this team for the way they performed all year long. Now, with the season over, Im excited to see the changes that are going to be made to continue to improve this team. Thanks for a great 08 Miami Dolphins!

Thanks for the kind words and congrats on a very solid game. As for our Phins: I am proud of our Phins. They have a very good foundation for the future and gave us all something to cheer about this year. They were much better than any of us thought. I look forward to the draft and next year.
Glad to see so many people proud of this team. I just don't understand how people can hate on a team that went from 1-15 to 11-5, AFC East Champs, and hosted a playoff game. True there were negatives today but I still think the positives are still much higher. I think it will only drive this team more next year as talk will probably be this offseason that they didn't belong in the playoffs and the Pats did. Next year this team will be even better the only negative is that the next time I will get to see the Fins play will be in August.
Tough loss to a Ravens' team that overmatched us everywhere today, but the team still mever quit! This is the Miami Dolphins' team I grew to love and respect throughout the years. Got some playoff experience under our belt, draft and FA coming, a ****ing unbelievable coaching staff and FO, and players with tons of heart! I'm am so looking forward to next year! Go 'Phins!!!!
No one but us, not the Pasties or the Jests can boast this. It was a great season, and man I can't wait to read all the Senior Bowl, Combine and Draft stuff leading up to the big day in April. THIS IS GONNA BE FUN !!!

This may be long..... I appreciate the fact that this franchise took the time to see that we still have some diehard fans...they spent the money and brought us an amazing coaching staff from top to the bottom. I appreciate that our players, despite the atrocity we went through last year, still made the efforts to improve upon their games. Anyone else could've given up and just played for the paycheck, but these guys put in extra...running extra drills after the coach dismissed them, learning new plays, and adapting to each other. We have one hell of a squad right now, and despite our loss today, I can't say I would've wanted any other guys out on that field for us. Each of them bring something GREAT to this team...Vonnie with his leadership and knowledge and hunger....Porter with his power and eye for the sack....Bell with his outstanding lead in tackles....Fasano for somehow finding that open hole...Ginn for his superhuman speed....etc. I can't say that i'm sad today. I am extremely proud to be a Dolphins fan this year and for once in a long time, people won't try to make fun of me for saying so! For that, I appreciate this team bringing back the respect. We are a force to be reckoned with and I cannot WAIT til next season to see what kind of bruising we put on this league. We were the underdogs all year, and even after winning several games our guys were humble and remembered where they came from. Also, I appreciate that Channing played *almost* to his full potential this year (wee!! hehe..) That is all..... p.s. I vote this thread be stickied so we can have a reminder of this season...
I want to say thanks to Dolphins Owner's, gm's, coaches, and players. Thank you for working your tails off to field a great hardworking team. You have showed that with hard work anything is possible and brought respectability back to this proud organization. TEAM hold your heads high just as us fans will do! Thank you Dolphins! It has been a great season-better than I could have hoped for at the start of the year. I made some new and good friends throughout the season by going to Buffalo Wild Wings for every game-it's good to know you are not alone as a fan in an opposing city(Baltimore). Keep rebuilding and plugging away, boys!
Had a fun time at the game today. A win would have been nice, but we're back baby. I can't wait for next year!

Miami will win the Super Bowl in the not so distant future and the idiots at ESPN will act like they saw it coming all along. They went from worst to first in the division in one season. I was starting to think they were destined for the Super Bowl this season but that was probably a little greedy. Next year...
Thank you to all 53 men on the roster, the coaching staff, and the ownership. You've made it fun to watch the Miami Dolphins again and have far removed us from the 1-15 laughing stock we used to be. Be Proud of you Miami Dolphins! Not one of us brothers or sisters expected our beloved Miami Dolphins to get this far. They got farther in one year then anyone could of imagined. Chad got us along with the rest of team to where we finished today. Yes we got beat, but we have a great foundation to build for 2009. With that being said I would like to take this time to thank our Miami Dolphins players for heck of an enjoyable year! You made it a blast to watch Miami Dolphin football again with many smiles on our faces!
